I always used to have trouble on blm doing up in arms... like sleep duration/resist rate wasn't what I liked ( I was soloing though). I found it was easier to do as rdm/sch. Chainspell drain at the start lets you face tank it and get it down to like 60% for hardly any mp at all. Very very efficient spell. Duoing would be even easier in there since half the time what costs me more time is waiting on strat or drain recast

I'm trying to figure out a dual box strategy for up in arms and under observation. One character is basically mage only, the other is melee only (with BLU). Although I could get 2x RDM @ level 40 for under observation if that matters. Also hoping to do it where I can burn repeated orbs, and not NEED 2 hours.

Up in arms - thinking rdm + nin duo. RDM solo it until all extra arms are broken off, then somehow get hate on nin and straight tank it to death?

Under observation - i have no clue, havent done this in a long time, used to do it 3x blm and half the time eat dirt.

I actually don't need 2hr to solo up in arms on rdm it just makes things alot faster. Like 7-9 min with 2hr 13-14 without lol. Also one thing that saves a bit of time is go in wearing mp gear even if its hp>mp. Buff up in that then switch out and your fully buffed with full mp and in useful gear

Is it worth the money/effort to augment Seiryu's Kote for Hi? I figure 2-3 crit rate doesn't do all that much when you've got ~90% base rate in abyssea, and you should be using Emp+2 for the DEX outside abyssea. So it basically comes down to a few points of STP during WS and some attack.

Yes. And unless you are in the right range augmented kote might actually had more to crit rate than emp+2 not to mention more agi. And you could always maybe get some more agi on it . It might not up your average dmg much but sure will lower your crappy dmg ws by like 1/3 lol

When splitting into multiple parties to increase seal drops, could on person be the sole person killing or do the killshots have to come from different parties to duplicate seals?

Tarutaru, no special gear aside from Varuna's +2, RDM sub.

Pull with Blizzard V, if it starts casting anything particularly dangerous, stun it. Otherwise, pop Mana Wall -> Manafont and nuke with your strongest shit until its dead.

It's probably easiest to do on Taru due to the insane mana pool feeding Mana Wall (although I don't have the boosted Mana Wall effect from boots yet, so other races may be fine with this).
I can solo it on RDM with chainspell as well, but I think you'd be better off meleeing it to death as something/nin. it's really resistant to magic and has a good amount of hp.

I've heard of people doing it for only a couple hundred thousand but in all reality unless you doing it as a favor anything less than 500-600k you losing money vs getting stuff to npc or even sell

Are you trying to buy or sell?

If buying, I offer caution. Friend bought a brew for 2m gil, guy didn't know what he was doing, couldn't kill Rani before it wore. Now, multiple things my friend did wrong, including paying the whole sum up front, and not knowing if the guy brewing knew what he was doing.

If selling, I would shout starting at 5m and see if anyone responded. If you know what the hell you are doing (which seems rarer and less common these days) and your buyer has more money than he cares about, I could see someone paying 5m for like 10 apademek horns.

I say yes because even with non HQ3 you can get some decent augments because of the possibilities.
    NQ:
    One of:
Accuracy (1-3), Attack (3), Evasion (3), Critical Hit Rate (1), Random Pool

    HQ1:
    Store TP (1-4)
    and one of the following:
Accuracy (3), Attack (2-4), Evasion (2-5), Critical Hit Rate (1-2), Random Pool

    HQ2:
    Store TP (2-4)
    and one of the following:
Accuracy (?), Attack (3), Evasion (3-5), Critical Hit Rate (?), Random Pool

    HQ3:
    Store TP (3-5)
and one or two of the following:
Accuracy (4-5), Attack (4-5), Evasion (5), Critical Hit Rate (2-3), Random Pool

Paying for wildfire brew is a bit different than just brew in general. Mostly because it can 1 or 2 shot anything that isn't super resistant to fire so you really really need to fuck up to lose with it lol

Just lol @ paying 5M for brew or even 2M ...

Brew is worth 1M. Brew from Wildfire is maybe worth 1.5M unless you are desperate and want something really bad ( epona? )
10 Apademak horns might be worth 5M if you that brew include pop sets for Apademak ( 400k x10 for horns and 1M for brew )

Prob means shout high and settle for something lower.

You'd be shocked how much people are willing to pay to not deal with Apademak.

Although it is indeed extremely stupid for people to pay so high for a brew, they still do it. And really, it's best to take advantage of such stupid people.
