So i went on my quest to get my Tsukikazu Togi from Battleclad Chariot in Zhayolm Remnants, needless to say as a rank amateur we got our asses handed to us.
set up : NIN+THF+WHM
we managed to get to the 6th floor with 30min to spare but the Archaic Chariot on the 6th floor kicked our ass when it popped an army of gears
any tips?
What tools are necessary/helpful to 2box efficiently? More specifically, for automating/easing the amount of work I have to do during 2boxing a WHM. I've used FFXI Heal Helper to just click cures, but looking for something with a little more versatility/customization. I've looked into Gambit but haven't actually bothered trying it out yet.
oh and can rani be bound with brew on?
Just from my own digging around the past 45 min, what looks the most promising right now is mixing Multisend and spellcast, using a spellcast rule like this (if I'm getting the syntax right).
which would let me just type out "//haste me" instead of having to switch tabs and type "//haste hobo"Code:<if advanced='"$2box"=="on"'> <if skill="HealingMagic|EnhancingMagic|EnfeeblingMagic|DivineMagic"> <cancelspell /> <command>send mulenamehere %spell %spelltarget</command> </if> </if>
Am I on the right track?
Edit: After more digging around, I found out Multisend is defunct, and its spiritual successor is Multibox. Also, apparently it sends it directly into chat input instead of windower console, so you change the command to 'send mule /ma "%spell" %spelltarget' or 'send mule //%spell %spelltarget'
best way to get beseige points im running low and i don't think people meripo on colibri anymore
Imperial Standing? Do besieged.
I am VERY interested in anyone that has a guide or some sort of in depth info on how to do something like this. I have a WHM RL Friend that lets me dualbox if i want, however I have never been able to get 2 instances of Windower to run at the same time. So tabbing to a Official POL window is very annoying. So I dont dualbox her ever.
So as a plea anyone with info or knowledge of getting windower to run 2 instances and dualbox work please inform the ones of us that are not as knowledgeable in this area.
Thank you so kindly.
Lol thats funny XD
It's so easy at 90 that I don't know what to write even.
I was killing almost all gears from this room with Aeolian edge on THF and WHM barely needed to cure XD Maybe you need evasion gear macro?
Everything there is so easy that pretty much every strategy or no strategy should work but if you really have a problem with it just pull this chariot on side and kill adds then chariot.
Everything there misses so much that you could probably go make a tea while autoattack.
The only situation I can imagine that can lead to wipe would be trying to fight in the middle w/o aggroing gears on nin or thf and then casting on WHM and got magic aggro and got killed.
Camp at one of the corridors instead of the main hall. THF or NIN pull the chariot and usually it will link with a few gears. The chariot is blind, so the THF and NIN can just kill the gears while ignoring the chariot. After clearing the linked gears, kill the chariot and remaining gears. If the chariot links an army of gears, just have the puller kite the gears in the main hall while other members kill the chariot.
Pretty much this. Kiting gears was good lowman strategy at 75. @90 it just wasting your time. I usually do it on THF WAR WHM and in ZR I pull all gears from a room (we clear all gears in all rooms) and Aedge them for TH then I keep Aedging while WAR take them one by one. I cant imagine how you can wipe on NIN+THF if WHM has no aggro.
I just open two windowers. I'm not sure what would be preventing you from opening two windows. Log into the game on one, and then open the second.
Here is a guide that I wrote on my social's website. Most of it is from information I gleaned from more experienced players here. Sjugy is my mule:
I pretty much do the above, but now I also have scripts for different job for my mule. So "sjugywhm.txt" has Binds for when he's on WHM. "sjugybrd.txt" has binds for when he's on BRD, etc. If I was a wiser taru, I could use autoexec to change them as I changed jobs, but I haven't gotten to that stage yet.I'm far from an expert dualboxer, or any kind of boxer, but this is how I control Sjugy:
I use Multi-send (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6N8EI8V3) and Spellcast (check the windower site) along with a modified windower init file and a script for every set of actions I want to do. Basically, I have it set up so I can hit Control-F5 and have Sjugy follow me, or Alt-F2 for Cure 4, Alt-F5 for Paralyna, Control-F1 for double Marches, Control-F2 for March/Minuet, etc. It's like having a second macro bar that works for Sjugy. I'll say how I have it set up exactly and work through an example or two.
So, first off, extract Multisend into the same directory as windower. I'm not sure that this matters, it's just something that I did. Next, we'll write windower scripts that go in the "scripts" folder. My Cure IV script (c4.txt), for instance, is:
To write a script, open Notepad, write something like that in, and save it into the scripts folder.Code:cure4 byrth;
My double Marches+Haste (marmar.txt) script is a little more complicated (and isn't fine-tuned at all.)
Okay, so now you have some scripts! Time to learn how to call them! Open up init.txt from the "Scripts" folder.Code:victorymarch; pause 12; advancingmarch; pause 12; haste byrth;
First, make sure "load Spellcast" is among the "load _____" commands. Next, go down to your "binds." In this case, ^ means Control and ! means Alt, so ^f6 means Control F6 key. Personally, I choose to bind Control/Alt F1-6 to different JAs/etc for Sjugy. Like this:
The idea is, I hit Control-F1 (^f1) and Windower runs the marmar.txt script shown above. The silly \/\/ stuff is just to make it a windower command, it translates to "//" in game. You need it before the exec. Similarly, my Cure IV "macro" is:Code:bind ^f1 send sjugy "\/\/exec marmar.txt"
So in order to get this working, you need spellcast running on your mule with Multisend open and the correct Binds set in your init file. I should note that it's just as possible to make this a regular macro. So if you put //send Sjugy "\/\/exec marmar.txt" in a game macro with Multisend loaded and Spellcast on the mule, it would work just fine.Code:bind !f2 send sjugy "\/\/exec c4.txt"
I'm still figuring most of this out as I go along. I only migrated to PC in the fall, and I only really started using this system in the last few days in Tahrongi (though I've had all the macros written since the week I reactivated Sjugy). If you need anything more specific, feel free to ask me in game but be aware that I probably won't know the answer. When I have questions I just go to the BG Random question thread.
I guess they were killing chariot in the main hall and the WHM aggro some gears. I fully agree that kiting is not necessary at lvl 90. But for people who are new and unfamiliar with Salvage, kiting is not a bad option if they link an army of gears. Better be safe than wasting a run![]()
What necks should I use for TP/WS on my warrior? Was trying to get a ravager's gorget for a haste/DA build, but just saw someone post it on the Gimp thread. What do?
Ravager's Gorget is fine for a TP set as long as you don't need STP in that slot (which you probably don't). Rancor Collar is probably better, but not hugely so and it incurs a penalty.
