What you are writing here is total bullshit.
RR had very significant gain in crit rate at 200 and 300TP.
Mbhuj wasn't best to use for RR because it you was losing like 6-7% on ws and 8-9% on melee vs Perdu gaxe and 15%crit rate on RR was around 6-8%gain in ws damage (im semi calculating this, dont have time for exact math now) so avg WS damage was barely even and melee damage was much higher on Perdu.
10% ws damage was also more then 15%crit rate with high pdif situations but now WAR has pretty good crit damage+ and that change things too.
If crit rate bonus scales between 100,200 and 300TP points and assuming 10% difference between 100 and 200tp earring would add about 1,8% when +4 earring adds about 0,9% so it would best earring for ukko (calculation for outside abyssea)
How annoying is Diabolos for dyna-tav clear at 90 and how many people would it take? We should have 7-8 people with a couple emps (masa or ukon, armageddon or cala, 2x rhong, almace) what could a good setup be?
I've been getting an error/crash when I shutdown so I guess that explains it.
For what it's worth(nothing), you can't get WS points on shinryu. I've used club of trials for blue procs and looked at latent checker afterwards with no increase in points.
Yeah, I'm just lazy. I've had all 50 Glavoid shells for months and haven't even killed Chesma for it. Figuring out I couldn't make two Twashtars kind of took the wind out of my sails on that project.
Has there been any testing done on this? It's easy to say it works as SE intended, but really I have yet to see any one showing that it is. I don't know how you calculate the difference but this suggest one needs to add a lot of percent of crit hit to beat a difference in dmg+ att ( 3 dmg in difference, and 10 attack on perdu vs martial)
As for ukko, it depends what the difference in chance of crit hit that it has between 100 tp and 200 tp.
Looking at wiki ( a crude guide) it suggests this difference in chance of crit hit between 100 tp and 200 tp seem to differ by weaponskill. For example , rampage is said to have a difference on 20 % crit hit between 100 tp and 200 tp. I am guessing you'll say that difference still doesn't cover the difference in dmg/att bonus on maneater vs a martial axe.
As for the earring , doesn't that depends on the person's build as you could get regain +1 instead of tp bonus +25. I am guessing if you make the 5/6 hit complete that would beat the tp bonus you are getting.
Just leveld NIN to 90. Couple questions:
1) Standard merits for t1/t2?
2) What's the best main hand katana until i get Kannagi?
3) Blade: Jin set?
O.o With that setup, you could kill the world. I've never done Tav personally, but from my experiences with old-world FFXI since 90, shit dies faster than it can become dangerous. They might still have some dangerous moves, but usually they're lucky if they can get them off before they're dead (Which is why the Wiki makes everything sound harder than it is; it just lists all the mob's moves, but gives you no idea of how much they do them). With that many empys, I doubt anyone would get to WS more than twice, if that.
Is Yaguarogui camped by 950580580 people 24/7 on every other server too? Why does this NM only have 1 pop?
Easy pop items, easy fight (if your group isn't retarded), and it drops NIN seals, which I would say is the main bandwagon job these days. Also, everyone had RDM leveled from the Pre-Abyssea days, so even though the job is only marginally useful inside, a lot of people still wanna gear it up.
We had 7 players with 9 characters:
Maschu +2 WAR/SAM, Twashtar THF/NIN, Twashtar DNC/NIN, another THF/NIN, 2x BLM/SCH, RDM/WHM, WHM/RDM, dualboxed Bard, dualboxed COR
Agroed all four Diaboloses (all 50% HP). Plan was for each melee to take one Diabolos. Soul Voice buffs for the melee, didn't bother party swapping the COR and gave the BLMs wizard's roll or something. One of the guys didn't grab his Diabolos and I (DNC) ended up tanking two for most of the fight (until one of them cast Death on me while I was stunned). We killed two and then wiped with one at 50% and one around 75% (the two I was tanking). If the last guy had grabbed the right Diabolos, I bet we would have won. Someone needs to brush up on his SSR strategy.
For the fight, if you're going with less evasive DDs then I'd also go with more support. As far as their TP moves, the ffxiclopedia page isn't entirely right but it's a decent start. Masa or Ukon + 2-hour is going to wipe one of them off the map immediately if you start with 4. DRK with Caladbolg is going to be another good asset, especially if you're running light in the buffer category. Those two DDs together are probably good for one each, and your Thief can definitely hold one. I suspect that Nightmare's range is 20', so it would be avoidable if you weren't essentially fighting in a closet.
I don't know what to really advise. I think you could do it with 7-8 with those weapons and a "gank and hope" method more than 50% of the time. My group is going back this coming weekend for a rematch.
Are the NM pop rates from the Ramparts in Bhaflau Remnants still the same, or have they been increased?
Go into that and there's a link where a new version should be.
For the NINs out there, is there anything I'm not thinking of where more than ~100 evasion in gear is actually useful? I'm looking at my item sets and can't remember the last time I used my max evasion set (~130 eva including Sekka+2 and Ungur Boomerang).
