I need to parse my Zanshin rate, but its pretty rape on T4 VW. I use Dusk+1/Mars atm because I never bothered to lot Ace's.

Until exact zanshin rates are known there is no perfect build.

Believe Taint is in favor of Unkai back for the enhaned Zanshin. With the recent update, a more Zanshin-focused build with the merits he mentioned may work out to be better than the traditional builds and merit combos we're used to.

@Aylee: I figure if a the debate exists between capped haste and 5-hit - and both are achievable with a single gearset - then there really isn't a debate. I've only really skimmed the Hasso+Zanshin info since last update, but there's a chance Taint's build will be tops with re-worked Tier2 merits.

Is it worth losing the meditate merits just for 5% more zanshin?

Well you would need to first have those merits I always had stp and third eye and im 99 % sure Taint build doesnt include 5/5 stp but 5/5 zanshin and 5/5 something else.

Thats 59sTP which means you doesn't need sTP merits and only need to wear Rajas on WS for 6 hit build.

Im not sure about hoard tho. I would rather give one merit in sTP and change ring to pyro and neck to af3. Thats 9 STR, 2acc more and 1% zanshin less ( if zanshin proc on hasso is anywhere near the 25% option then 2fSTR and 2acc looks like a good trade off for 0.25%zanshin on hasso)

1% Zanshin is a good bit of damage. Its like a DA on crack. If it is 1/4 Zanshin proc then tiers need to be found. The first piece I'd change is the back, if hands zan = back zan.

I apologize if my posts about sky sounded "lol." We farmed popsets and killed all gods thf+rdm/blm, because it was the most useful for us. I didn't "research" anything about the 4 gods beyond what I already knew by doing them at 75. Genbu and Byakko were seriously zzz, Seiryu required quick topping off of the HP after any big hit that would go through shadows, would PD the HF, and I just CS Stun Suzy because it's what I knew what to do, it got the job done.

Question: while I'm in the process of building a da+10% khanda for offhand to an Almace, whats best OH non-magian option until then?

This is the part where I say neither since neither of them is extremely rare without it (personally I've seen more Isadors than Triplus but small sample size).Just bring Blue + TH and you should be mostly good barring bad luck.

Also: I just want to verify that a DA or TA can only proc twice in any weapon skill.

Only the first 2 hits of any weapon skill have a chance to DA. Not "any hit can DA and it gets limited to 2".

I've been toying with different thoughts on STP sets for Masa SAM and was wondering if this set would be solid or actually worse than the one listed within the past few pages. It seems (to me at least) to be mostly the same, save for a switch on the legs/boots/head while also dumping the white tathlum. This is assuming the newest level of STP gave an additional 5 STP though. If so, I'm counting 20.2 tp (5hit). Am I off on the count, and am I missing something overall?

Edit: After further contemplation, I wonder if I am safe to assume the preference of using Unkai Haidate +2 is for the boost to hasso?

Your count is right. FFXIAH lists the rose strap at it's campaign value of 20. On another note: is the appropriate STP trait count (assuming 5 STP merits) at level 90 a total of 40 STP?

You'll notice though, that the previously posted set shows 1 less STP (despite the use of white tathlum). It initially looks higher, however, SAM empy back is on the list as well, which means the stats are included in the total count. I can only assume that the haste boost from "enhances Hasso" trumps the higher attack/lol2hander-acc. Si?
