With Augmented Adaberk, I believe he has the bare minimum store TP for 6 hit, so sword strap would break the 6-hit. 3% crit rate is also kinda nice for WS and DoT.

No, sorry I should have explained. The Huab. has STP+6 DA+2 augs. on it. You need a minimum of +4 STP on the body for that set to work. If you cant get a Haub. Askar would work, or you can use AF3+2 body in the meantime till you can get a Haub.

They broke it when they did the pet damage reduction cap. Mobs that used to be immune to some damage type have 87.5% (I assume) damage reduction now instead.

I finally reported this on the official forums. It being broken doesn't hold any real strategic importance, and it looks sloppy.

Yes, if you are using AF3+2 hands with restraint down you need to rework your gear sets.

str+9 dex+9 acc+12 AugDA vs str+4 dex+2 atk+10 haste+2? Probably going to get more damage from the af3. If we use Haborym's gearset as an example: Blitz ring is bringing you from 24.8% haste to 25% haste, so the ability to use something over it miniscule. Should probably just not even use blitz in the first place. Str bonus is superior, dex bonus is superior, lolacc bonus is superior, AugDA is superior, it's just down 10(7.5) attack. If your dDex isn't capped, or your fSTR isn't capped, or your attack is capped or near capped(very likely) perle is beaten out by af3 hands down.

New question: What file do I put this command in to make it work? Purpose is so I can read internet and release fish/recast with a diff Gkey without having to bring ffxi to the forefront until I know it's a fish I want to reel in.

Quick question to those smn pros out there, for BPs, can i hit my BP macro with BP- on it, then swap to armor that buffs the avatars? Also can anyone give me a rough idea on gearsets for said swaps?

Question for the Fellow NPC fans: Is there another way to increase fellow bond other than selecting "Let's chat" at the rendezvous point once a day and using signal pearl? I'm sitting at NPC level 50 with nowhere near enough bond to get the limit break quest/tactics pearl/etc. Thanks.

Can put it in init.txt if you aren't going to use m1g1 for anything else.

GKeys are special, and work even if ffxi is out of focus.

Yeah, you can start you BP with the BP- stuff on it, then swap in to whatever pet buff gear you want while it's charging, in the same way you can swap between Fast Cast and then other stats at the start/end of spells. As for gear, it'll obviously depend upon the pact in question, but I'll leave details to someone who has followed smn recently, as aside from a few af3 bits mine is still mostly using lvl 75 knowledge, so hardly optimal.

Skill+ for wards, Pet:MAB wherever possible, skill/blood boon+ for Magical BPRages, Acc/Skill/"Enhances Pet attack"(Depending on the item) for BP Rages.

Two simple sets are:

Magical:

Pet:MAB+12 magian stick/Whatevergrip/X/X
AF3/Eidolon Pendant/Gifted Earring/Earring of some sort, you can get an augmented petMAB earring from the ACP box, iirc
AF3/AF3/Evoker's/Fervor
Tiresias or Augmented Altius/Caller's/AF3/AF3 or Augmented Zenith Pumps.


Physical:

Soulscourge/X/X/X
AF3/Sacrifice Torque/Gifted/No idea
AF3/AF3/Evoker's/No idea
No idea/No idea/AF3/AF3 or AF2, no idea which would come out better.


BP timer is simple, caps at -15. Any combination of Relic/YYR/Other BP- gear.
