Stat merit question: As a mithra focusing on drk with caladbolg I have str merits. I read that dex merits for mithra will get me more benefit, I'm assuming this is due to dDex tiers? Is this a good enough reason to swap out my str merits for dex? Would vit benefit me more?

I meant another character, sorry for the confusion. My dbox whm might need to act as healer for 2-3 people sometimes but if I'm engaged to something on mnk and I need to heal other person B how would I manage that kind of thing?

Honestly, in that situation I'd just dualbox your monk and play your WHM. What do you really need to control a Monk remotely, anyway? A WS macro?

Yeah I was just thinking about this actually. It'll be like remote controlled point and kill from the backlines. I take no joy in playing mages, but I guess it's the simplest solution.

Kiku pretty boss now with the Zanshin update. For stuff like VW or high tier NMs the TP bonus+100 GKT is nice as well.

I know it has been mentioned before but I can't remember what causes the High Priest to not be at the Recall-Meriph crystal. Over the weekend I did my 25 pixies (x 2 for both toons) and that one was never up. I am planning on helping a friend do his soon and just wondered what cause that mob to not be there.

Depends if the area is beastman controlled or not. If it is, there will be one at the tele crystal.

It must be on when you us Climactic to get the extra forced crit hit, and when you land the hits to get the damage boost.

Arhat's can give you an easy 10. If you have time, you can get another PDT ring in Konschtat. However keep in mind that below 50% HP with Ducal Guard, you're not gaining any additional bonus because players cap at 50%.

Yes I'm aware of the 50% cap on players (Avatars are 87.5 or something? And apparently Jugs can reach 100 still?!)

NQ Arhat's seems like the best choice, fairly cheap for another 10% putting me at 20 with my current set up. The problem with Ducal is that it doesn't factor in augmented HP, only base HP so by the time it actually kicks in I'm out like 3k+ HP. Someone was telling me that with the right set up you can take literally 0 damage, but I found even with Ducal active & MC + Vicissitude, I was still losing HP with 4 or more mobs on me.


Contrast this to when I did PLD for shield with just all-regen atmas (I had /RDM for fast cast, didn't even think to use /WAR for defender) and 640+ defense, I was constantly taking single-digit damage as long as phalanx was up. So I guess the problem here is that I simply can't get enough defense to ensure that my PDT drops damage into single-digits on MNK. I'm also using Elsheena & Prouesse Ring. Also, I'm using Black Ardargas or w/e for skilling right now, but I'm considering going for the Taipan Fangs +2 for -10% PDT.

My guarding skill is only 200 since my MNK dinged lvl90 last month. I afk skillup guarding skill as MNK/DNC in abyssea tahrongi with atma of MC, Vicissitude and Sea Daugther. I use relic knuckles and pdt -30 in gears. Then I set two rules in autoexec for self curing: when TP reach 300% and when my HP drop to 80-85%. Pull 6-8 mandy and try to position them in a way that only one mob is behind me. Engage that mob and go afk. You can try to pull 3-4 mobs for a start and pull more mobs once you are confident that you will not die when afking. Skillup rate is not as fast as MNK/RDM as you cannot pull too many mobs but you can go afk as MNK/DNC Using a similar method, I cap my parrying skill as SAM/DNC while afking.

I don't use windower.

I remember reading somewhere that you only need 2/5 to cap Nazuna and such, but not sure if it was credible.
