    Bit of a big question, but what should a fresh 90 WAR/COR/THF/WHM/SMN (your choice) look like within the first week of hitting 90? Just came back and went on a leveling spree, but have no bloody clue what to gear for anymore. I'd really like to stay out of the gimp thread while working towards the larger upgrades. Any good beginner atmas?

    About to finish my NIN90 and got a few questions. Best non-magian mainhand Katana till I finished Kannagi? Best possible TP sets inside and outside Abyssea aswell as best possible Jin sets inside and outside assuming every item needed is available.

    I always went to Vunkerl to upgrade my t1. after going 1/50 multiple times in tahrongi i gave up there. Im sure its just a coincidence but i always went 1/10ish in vunk. Ule seems to have the best x2 drop rate on souls. but there are usually 20-30 people there trying to upgrade. I spent almost all my time in grauberg, yes diabolos sucks compared to the other two but there is hardly ever any comp there. Brulo is probably the hardest of the 3 mobs, but koios is by far the easiest solo/duo. It takes time i did probably 3-8 souls a night if there wasnt a lot of comp. Good luck the trial blows.

    oh and you cant have multiple t2's but you can have all 3 t3s at once.

    Thanks. I have 5-6 tier3's spread across 3 characters atm. Should be a decent start. I think I'll probably start with 6 or so tier 3's and a tier 2 on each character (3). I just finished helms (3 days of afternoon farming) and I hope to have sobeks finished by this weekend. If everything goes to plans I'll be working on souls Sunday.

    WAR x-hit build question:
    How to factor Regain from Moonshade Earring into this?
    Stack stp to get one tp below required amount for x-hit and then just assume one hit/one tick?

    For Plucking Wings is MNK/WAR + RDM/BLM sufficient to meet the objectives? I'm curious how hard the boss can hit. MNK has high HP so as long as I keep MNK topped off is there no real dangers? What is the big deal I hear about Manifestation + t4? Do the t4 under Mani hit harder? RDM has above average gear as well as MNK, but no empy. I have access to capped phalanx 2 which I'm sure will be very useful. Is the NM susceptible to Para, slow? Thanks for any help.

    Ok I have a problem which may be familiar for some ppl. I am running out of space even that Im trying to minimize my equipment to most useful stuff. I think the only resolve for this problem will be cutting the number of jobs that I play.
    Currently I used MNK,PLD,NIN,BLU,DNC and was working on BLM,SCH,RDM,WAR,BST,PUP,DRG,SAM,RNG,DRK ( yes I like so many jobs ). What I am looking with this post is advices on what jobs I should focus and have them prepared for future (VW II?) and present events.
    MNK - It's my main. Veret: O and Spharai in progress
    PLD - Very useful job for me. VW, cleave, XNMs etc. Ochain: O Almace: O
    NIN - Recently I use it a little less but it's still irreplaceable for KI farm in abyssea. Kannagi: O
    BLU - Currently the job I almost stopped to use. It's also taking a lot of inventory space. I was thinking to suspend it for now and store most equip or send it to mules. If they will add something interesting at 95 I might back to it.
    DNC - I did it recently but liek it a lot. Currently use it for Dynamis (pretty much my main event for now), Limbus and Salvage. Twashtar: O
    BLM, SCH - I should probably choose only one of those two? I'm considering SCH because of my ridiculous low mp pool but I would like to hear more advance opinions. I'm not planning to play solo on BLM or SCH mainly because my mp pool wont let me and probably because of inventory space too.
    RDM - Also mainly for group events. I might solo on it but probably with Almace + enfeebling/enhancing magic not nukes. ( Base mp at 90 lv on rdm/blm for me is 444 XD )
    WAR - Wanted to make it and Ukon pretty much because it's just that awesome that it is hard to not make it.
    BST,pup - Was thinking it would be good to have one pet job for those rare situations where pets have big advantage over normal setup and BST or PUP looks like better choice than SMN for Galka but idk and would like to hear some advices here.

    How small a group would you say it would take to kill Angry Mangina in Dynamis-Beauc, just the NQ as I finally got my mule access from soloing the other zone bosses on BLU.

    Is there any tricks for fighting Amphitrite? I've done it before but not for awhile, went to do it last night with 3boxed NIN THF WHM and another player BLM/BRD and it was ridiculously hard compared to my normal 3boxing experiences. The first one popped in physical absorb mode and it was hard to keep hate while trying to stay alive while spamming ninjutsu to get it to TP. Overall it was just frustrating and I'm wondering if there's a better method then my usual strategy of "hit stuff and cure people til it dies."

If you're looking to do pet-job stuff, BST is better than PUP. PUP excels as a hateless damage source like SMN, but with none of the pet durability that SMN and BST enjoy.

Annihilator is cool, but you might as well make a Corsair

    Calculate if you'd be left at 97/98/99 tp after your x-hits, then take into consideration you get 1 tp every roughly 2.44s, if your tp phase lasts longer than around 5~6 seconds then you'll be able to 5-hit a build that would normally leave you at 98% tp, and so on and so forth

    @pet classes
    If you're gonna do a pet job for events, your best bet right now is SMN. Yes, the class has issues but if Voidwatch continues to be what it is then it'll be far and away your best choice of pet classes. Galka MP isn't going to make that big a difference as id hope you've got refresh gear, maxed MP merits and get refresh during events.

    @blm vs sch
    Unless SCH gets a gamechanger, shut it down and focus on BLM.

    @rdm
    Honestly id keep on ice until post update. Unless your group is starving for refreshers, you could simply stash this away then contemplate reviving it if the enfeebling changes turn out to be useful.

    @DD classes
    Keep RNG as it seems to be turning out great in VW but id consider working down DRG, SAM and DRK to one class you enjoy. WAR offers procs and either of the three jobs I mentioned can be your alternate zerg class anyway. Pick the one you enjoy the most and shelve the other two.

    @BLU
    What kinda gear are we looking at here? When I got inventory strapped on my own char, the first thing I dropped was my full Benthic set.

    STR and MND are both equal 32% procs but INT naturally would help as well with a magical ws such as Uriel

    As for spells, basically typical spells used in abyssea used for soloing, but you might consider setting MP drainkiss as every mob in campaign save for beltry spawned mobs have mp, and mp can go fast.

    "Magic Damage Efficiency" is important for solo, but rarely for group events. Very little shit in the game necessitates a mage soloer anymore.

    Sch is great on anything you would use a blm for. There's just nothing you'd use a blm for. Blm is in abyssea to trigger, if you didn't need them to grellow they'd be right down there with rdm and sch. If they ever add content again where you would use an unengaged tank and a blm party, sch would be amazing for that. Giving the blm party weather and making skillchains for them to burst off of is a really big damage boost.

    I should probably tell that my Taru mule has pretty good SMN. Its also our main healer WHM ( going for yagrush after our relics) and we plan to make solid BLM on it.

    My other mule is for now only THF but we plan to make COR and BRD ( empy x2 included ) so I was thinking if we gonna make some mage setup my friend would be BLM me RDM mule BLM and mule COR because with good refresh I can be pretty solid RDM and other way around with me on BLM and mule on RDM I will suffer a lot from being Galka with no mp ^^

    Nope that's it. Spam ninjutsu to feed tp or spells on the whm and try and get it to form change. Hate should rarely transfer to the whm, though, even if it pops in melee absorb mode. Annoying fight all the way around and painfully slow for how easy the mob is.
