What does Ebon light do?
I've been trying to figure that out for more than a year with no progress (not that I've put in a grand effort into it, but still). It doesn't help that it's not exactly easy to build, especially without having a decent amount of other lights.. assuming it somehow affects those to begin with. I've always thought it to work in a similar way to the azure/amber/ruby/pearl abyssites, but I have very little basis in that being correct.
You get them from NMs so wondering if it had something to do with them but that really wouldnt make any sense. Wonder if someone asked on the official forums if we will get a response as they have let a few things be known now.
My theory is it enhances what comes out of gold boxes, but I eyeballed it.
Can Apademak level up after every spell? It just casted Thundaga IV on party members, didn't kill anyone, promptly used fulmination and killed most. I have filters on, but didn't see anything about absorbing Thundaga IV. Bit naive on the mob characteristics.
Edit: just spawned with access to fulmination without levelling up. Used fulm on popper.
If Wiki is to be believed, it provides a bonus to all lights except Gold and Silver (And ebon obviously):
Ebon: A small bonus will be granted to all colored light effects except gold and silver light effects.
Obtained from Red Pyxides after a set amount of Ruby Light is Accumulated (Ebon begins popping around 5 Ruby lights).
Also awarded by some NMs next to the regular light.
Appears to cap at 200.
this may be stupid but, can i get ws points(for quest ws) inside aby?
Yes, he'll cast agas on himself and level up. He casts as soon as you pop him, if he fulms at the start then you didn't stun his initial spell when you popped him.
Would like to see the proof of this. I have had plenty of ebon but never noticed the xp/cruor. Also considering that wiki states (which I think was actually stated by SE) "A small bonus will be granted to all colored light effects except gold and silver light effects." it would have 0 effect on xp/cruor since gold/silver is xp/cruor
The way I see ebon working...
I believe people agree that the way chests work, is that they take your base lights, and add a random amount to it. Which can sometimes be high, explaining how you can find big gold chests, or time chests, with very little light, but very rarely. Also explains when you're around, say, 120 azure, sometimes you get time chests and 1250exp and 1000 cruor, but you still get 1000exp/800cruor chests as well. Also the small and large golds on the same amber level.
Could it be, that ebon either raises the max, or the minimum, or both, of that random number added? This would actually be kinda easy to test. (The minimum part, anyway.)
It would make sense with how SE previously explained that ebon helped all the other lights.
(Isn't this also kinda like how the abyssites work? Have people agreed on that yet? idk)
edit: I just realized that I just said what you said. This is what I get for posting after waking up. ; ; god damnit
edit2: fucking ebon panels, how do they work? haha, I am so funny in the mornings. -_-
Where is the best place to do 300 Plantoids in wind weather? I assume it's somewhere in Wajaom/Bhaflau, but, where is the best camp?
There are abyssites that will boost the "strength" of a chest beyond your current status, but not beyond the max it can go. If you're currently getting tier 1 chests, a "proc" from the abyssite could make it a tier 2,3 or 4 if you luck out. At least this is what I've kind of eye-balled. Maybe each abyssite increases the chance versus the potency?
Destiny for Gold chests
Kismet for Blue chests
Properity for Red chests
Also the Scars and Heroes zones get bonuses based on how well the Resistance and Dom Ops, respectively, are performing. I don't know what does that in the Vision zones though.
