Basically like this every single WS> I imagine it will be even better the closer I get to cap since these are DC and 280ish skill is like fighting IT++, so infrequent skillups.
I cannot remember where, but I swore somewhere I read it capped out higher than 15%. I think the figure that was being tosses around was like 60-75%. I'll see if I can find it again.
I cant see them increasing Parry's usefulness without being gamebreaking. Even if it were to cap at 10%, thats 10% chance at nullifying all physical damage. Parry shouldnt be any higher than 3-5% if at all. Guard is still 15% at 75% damage reduction which is pretty sweet for a non tank job that also has a million HP and counter and high evasion. The only fix should be the skilling up when taking damage even if it doesn't proc, like how evasion can skill when getting hit.
I already said parry caps higher than 3-5%. I was parsing 9% when skill wasn't even capped yet. It's probably 9-10% vs EM monsters though. Doubt anyone wears + parry gear or merits parry anyhow. But you never know, might be some nice stuff later on that will have some parry or guard skill added too it to make capping the skill worthwhile. Not like it's hard to cap anymore so no excuse to not cap them.
Going purely from possibly faulty memory here, but I thought parry capped at about 20% once your skill went over a certain threshold compared to the mob. (Meaning if you had 80% evade rate you'd parry 4% of all attacks.)
SE should make a trait for jobs like DRG and WAR that don't have native defense abilities for when we pull hate called Riposte. Riposte would increase Parry rate and give a high chance of countering when parry procs.
This isn't the official forums.
Well that's certainly thought provoking
It's not like Warrior really needs more of a defense bonus too.
This is getting out of hand, guys. Show a little restraint.
We need to rally the troops behind a single warcry.
