Ok same thing but with stuffed. Still no multi skillups. However, with stuffed all my skill ups but 1 were .1 or .2 and that one was .3. While with poultry they were all .4 and .5 and much more frequent

Where is the synthesis skillup food?
But really, with both Saltena and Elshema, I saw no real increase with my dagger skillups, normal .1-.4 I normally get in abyssea, with level 264-283 skill level. Didn't see a single parry skillup during the 60 minutes of food duration, with level 234 skill
chocolate rusks seem to help synth skilling actually >.>
In besieged I was working on my enhancing and was casting protect I on general mihli. With no food I was getting a skillup 90% of the time for some reason. Obviously when I cast protect on my own character or other playable characters I can't get that skill up rate. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
Nothing new!
Casting buffs on NPCs in Besieged it counts as "offensive" Casting if im explaining it right. I.E it skills up similar to how Enfeeble/Elemental Skill up when "nuking" a high level enemy.
ahhh I see, so in other words if square would give us campaign skill ups we'd all have capped enhancing in no time :D
You could before they patched it, when it was still possible to skillup without tags. Pretty sure enabling skilling up in campaign could be SE best move to revive it.
Yeah. I did a lot of Besieged back when I leveled my BLM off pets back in the 75 era. I spammed Protect/Shell on NPCs until some dickwad general or mage NPC ran by and gave them a higher-tier Protect/Shell. Aside from that, I did the typical Stone/Dia/Bio spam on mobs for skillups.
I burned my RDM from 49-90 this spring, and to skill Enhancing, I set up a poorly-optimized but automated Spellcast xml to skill up while I worked on RL matters at my desk (I was too paranoid to run it unattended). If you use Spellcast, here's a link to several skill up xmls on Pastebin.
Not sure if you're trying to imply the skill up food is a requirement for AoE WS skilling on multiple mobs, but it isn't. Found that out while capping off my shield skill on PLD and once done just spammed Circle Blade on the mandie horde I'd accumulated. While I'd been capped on sword from BLU for ages, PLD wasn't, and had a few WS where I got 3-5 separate skill up messages....as long as AoE magic works the same as AoE WSs (food allows multiple skillups per cast).

A guidebook from Japan (supposedly) said that Macarons are training food and that Rusks are quality control food. But I cannot find confirmation on what the book said and we need a lot more tests to be able to say for sure.
That said, I have taken to using Macarons when I skill up low-level crafts. (But as a cook, and can make them on the cheap.)
You have a rdm with phalanx II and they cast it on you, after that you idle in full PDT, Somtimes you will need atma's most the time you wont ( Mandy's hit very soft so phalanx + PDT stops most damage ) depending on the level of the mobs / enhancing on your Rdm you can usually not even wear PDT.
Esve you troll GTFO!
I'm seeing war/dnc out there SOLO, no RDMs or Phalanx - there must be something else they're doing. And I remember checking their gear, it was just standard AF3+1 gear, no PDT sets that I saw, but I could be wrong.
then you set PDT atma's or Regain, was he under 50% hp? could be ducal gaurd + 2 Regen sup's and Def atma's like Stronghold and Mounted Champion.
The idea is get a mob that doesnt hit hard, make it hit even less hard and retaliate them for skill ups, if he was /dnc and was spamming waltz's he could probably stay alive for a rather long time
Most jobs even ones with low def can afk on a few with capped pdt and some regen.
I leveled some weapons up on my gimp ass full perle WAR/DNC solo with 3 Regen Atmas (50/tick), Defender, Taco, and 24% PDT. I could maintain a constant HP Total with up to 8 Mandies riding my Waltz3 timer.
It's much better to bring a RDM though so you can use ACC food/atmas AND pull more Mandies.
I have been trying to skill up on war/dnc. I use the following setup:
Apocalypse (for triple attack and as an "ohshit" button in case I screw up)
Mounted Champion (regen / vit)
Vicissitude (regen/-mdt)
Gear is full war AF3+2, twilight torque, dark ring with 5% mdt/pdt, atheling mantle, ravager's orb, brutal earring, uuther's grip (thought the skill would help hit)
I use a quickstep macro that uses it 6 times in a row whenever it's up (<wait 16> after each) and hopefully stacks on a few levels of evasion down per macro press.
Tried this setup on frogs, treants, and crabs. Open to suggestions.
When I was skilling up on WAR I would do Glen Crabs with 3 Regen atmas. I was doing /SAM and would ride Seigan/Third Eye if necessary, but it rarely was. It only was if I'd do more than a 2 or 3 crabs at once. Mandies and /DNC are ultimately probably better since you can stack more at once.
I'll go so far as to say that if you're not abusing Retaliation for skill ups on WAR, you're doing it wrong. The exception to this being if you are AFK skilling on a Fortilace.
