is there a method of checking router stability. I just switched from AT&T DSL to xfinity, going from 1.0-1.5mb/s tops, to 20mb/s, maxing at 25mb/s. However I am still experiencing the same issues. FFXI will d/c on me 4-5 times a night.
Any ideas?

It looks like you are asking for more than just your stability statistics.
1. Did you disconnect regularly with your AT&T DSL? Was that why you switched?
2. Has Comcast provided you with a router or are you using your own? What model router? Custom firmware?
3. Are your devices hooked up via wireless or wired connection?
Same type of questions:
Is it the same router your using that was causing the issues?
Check the connection up time in your router status.
Try without your router and being directly connected to modem / internet.
I switched because I was paying $47+ a month for 1.5 mb max dsl, where now I'm paying $29.99 for what's supposed to be 15mb, but I regularly get 20-25mb.
They provided me with a used wireless router at time of install but I couldn't get it to connect, so I went back to using the same router I have had for 4 years or so.
Linksys wireless router, using a wired connection, standard firmware
Before we move forward to additional troubleshooting.
Can you test using a direct connection between your computer that runs FFXI & your modem?
That will isolate whether it's a line or router issue.
