[PS3]RPG Suggestions

FF7/8/9/Tactics are all on PSN (PS3/PSP) for $10 a pop if one feels like being nostalgic. I had just started up 7 the other day and it was worth the $10 just to not have to fuck with discs ever again.

Yeah, I bought those when I procured my PS3. They were great fun to play again.

Eternal Sonata is... just average. It's not a great game, the battle system is nice but very simple and doesn't offer much (unless you just play Viola, then the game is just easy). The story is typical and has too many breaks with silly dungeon crawls before anything happens. The characters are just awful, and the only saving grace the game has are the graphics (beautiful) and the music (CHOPIN).

As for SO, I liked Blindside more than AAA, though the latter was a lot better for 4D/solo runs. I dunno, I like both games equally for game play, just for different reasons.

i pretty much got IF and played a small bit after, so pretty much the beginning. Is it true that the game runs faster forcing 720p on the game?

If you thought it was ok by that point, it may be worth giving it another shot, as it does start off a bit slow, and improves more as you go. But again, if you really didn't like it, i wouldn't bother.

I noticed absolutely no difference in speed (aka i never had any lag at all) playing at either 480i, or 1080p, so i can't say.

Don't get me wrong, Resonance of Fate isn't bad per se, it's interesting, just gets incredibly boring once you realize how easy it is to dominate the combat system.

That. I really enjoyed it quite a bit, but it does get boring fast when you can run across areas constantly shooting at enemies that essentially don't fight back. I made it about 75% through the game before giving up, and even that was a bit much. It's still worth downloading if you've got your ps3 on cfw, but i definitely wouldn't pay for the game, since playing past the halfway point or so can be difficult, due to how easy it becomes. It was quite good early on though.

I didn't know you needed to chance weapons to level up quicker. Kept getting my ass kicked in the game. I hate that statue escort story mission.

its all preference, get a feel for what you like. i'd rather play eternal, so4, disgaea4, or white knight chronicles. think folklore was alright but had some huggggggge problems that i hope they fix if they ever make another, and thought demon souls is garbage too, so not for everyone

Also why oh why is Legend of Dragoon not on PSN. I here the JP PSN has a lot more games. Another game I'd love on PSN is Bushido Blade.

Probably third choice of systems for ME2 at any rate, as you can't play the full series on PS3.

preference, different people feel that different games are like that. i also feel oblivion is horrible, but if working 3rd person could be a lot better. the story of ds wasnt really that grand, hate the gameplay, and the graphics/style are pretty shitty.

this if it's your only option for Oblivion, but if your computer can run it with mods at a decent framerate it is by far the better choice.
