I'm honestly not surprised as a lot of there streaming contracts are ending over the next year and the studios know there is money to be made now in streaming, which means Netflix is going to get billed more, which means we get billed more. If this increases the selection we have to stream, I'm all for it.

This better mean they add more to streaming. It's bullshit, the only reason I still have both is because my Instant and Mail queue are always the same size because you can almost never stream new content that made any money in the box office.

Not to mention there is still the 3$ a month just to get blu-rays instead of DVD's.

Also, how do they justify making the deal to not release movies on street date and then do two price hikes in <1 year?

Do they (the industry in general) not realize greedy bs is the main reason for illegal downloading?

I don't torrent, but I am spoiled like a mofo when it comes to BluRay. I'm irritated to hell and back if I'm forced to watch something on DVD.

As far as this goes, it sucks. We do both *ALL* the time. We stream like crazy, and always have 3 BluRays or if it's something not available on streaming and no BluRay we'll get the DVD. Not happy.

A lot of the limitations of what's available for streaming is due to the studios, not netflix. Those companies are now wanting more money for streaming since it's the big thing right now, so netflix and it's subscribers are the ones stuck with higher rates.

This. I don't have Netflix but my girlfriend does. I was considering signing up myself until I checked the streaming selection, and yeah it's pretty shitty.

I have no problem with this, as the ease of streaming premium content is well worth my dollar. The big problem for me is there's very little premium actually on Netflix, so I hope this comes with a bigger streaming selection.

While I'd be for increasing the quality of streaming content (it hasn't even attempted to improve this) I also work at a best buy and the more shit that gets streamed, the less the studio produces.

Ill torrent movie that aren't streaming or worth the price but I Do like to buy blu rays for my collection.

Idk. I dont see Netflix increasing what thy stream for a while and well see more studios produce their own streaming shit that we have to subscribe for. HBO has HBO Go and they have only a few shows I wanna watch and no catalog of previous shows that I can rewatch.
