I get 1.5mbps-2.0mbps down and .75-1.0 mbps up on Verizon's 3G on my Droid 3. Verizon's 3g is def. better than ATT's.. and I think it has something to do with Verizon's 4g being faster, and some how freeing up more bandwith or something?

fact of the matter is.. if X has been announced, then the possibility of XI just got that much higher...
plus its a nice way of Sony to tell us that even though PS3s don't support PS2 emulation anymore, it can run Vita games, for which PS2 games can be ported to.
or is a new format that happens to be compatible with 2 systems (just like PSone classics on the PSN)...

Is the PS3 FFX a port, or a remake? I can't see them remaking that game before FFVI-FFIX...

A port. Game is modern enough to not have to rebuild from scratch.
I do hope they bother with a budget for redoing all the FMVs though to support both wide-screen, and not look like a compressed piece of shit at 1080p.
As for XI on Vita, still feels like it's too early for SE to say anything. Doubt we will hear anything until the 99-cap is out and done with also.

Hourly rate on Docomo's 3g plan would make FFXI there akin to AOL NWN they had god knows how long ago.
I can imagine haijin bragging on how much they spent monthly on FFXI

Even if they don't announce it, I think the Vita could run it.
If the community takes the initiative you might see a hacked version of it...
Look how ugly the home screen is, people are gonna be hacking/modding day 1.
Making everything in XI smaller would take time though.
