Been playing around will builds/merits all week.

Current setup, 5/5 zanshin, 5/5 med recast, 5/5 overwelm, 5/5 iki

Why the lack of STP in your build? I'm a long way from giving a shit about getting a Masa but I was going to change my current setup from TE recast to 5/5 Zanshin (and 5/5STP). Already have 5/5 Iki etc.

Rancor, Iga, and Agasaya's Collar all have their uses as DD necks. Rancor is the best option if the +DT isn't an issue.

I've traditionally appreciated Iga in abyssea for dd builds. When going for a full 26% haste + dual wield pieces there aren't all too many open slots for evasion. Yeah yeah, "you don't need evasion" blah blah blah - but it's just a nice excuse to make your life easier. Throw this + evasion sekka on and you've got a very attractive hybrid build going already.

yea, evasion is still needed in abyssea. People who dont care about evasion are actually making their own whm's life a lil harder. However i did full ninja AF+2 for 24% haste, yet able to keep +45ish(i think but around there) evasion and tank most things. I do have a super evasion set tho, still keeping 21% haste and can take care of everything ^^

back to neckpiece: Rancor can be used as a very good WS piece for both jin and hi even if you dont full time it. I did EP on dynamis xarc and was averaging 11xx hi(over 87 hi) and switched to rancor and got 1257(over 91 hi). Good upgrade

theres no reason to use agasaya for nin....its just a lazynin choice....we have way more options than that. eg. Ancient torque/Hope outside

Agasaya's collar is better than hope torque in every possible way o_O More attk, more acc, and 5 subtle blow.

My hybrid evasion build has 21% haste, 48% DW,15% DA, 3% TA, +58 evasion, +26 agi, +10 evasion skill. and +10 parry skill(lol) I lose 4% haste 2% dw and 3% DA.

But but it has agi for more evasion and to lower tp after you cap subtle blow!!!

Ewww x_X I always laugh at NIN's who do that, I don't get it at all. Reminds me of 5/5 usu nins. Arthars posts lots of useful info about vw and stuff though so I like him ^-^

I use 5/5 AF3 in one of my eva sets and in my lolacc set, but wouldn't default to it as a TP set. It's a nice way to squeeze in some evasion while maintaining near-capped haste though. 5/5 Usukane was kind of the same deal, decent eva while maintaining some degree of offensive stats.

First they talk about TP neck and you jump in with agasaya is lazy over hope..
Then you straighten it saying you meant WS
Now you saying you said that having acc in mind when Hope has lowest acc from all WS necks beside maybe rancor.

Wait, I don't understand this at all. You gain 8 evas and 10 agi at the loss of 5% DW and 1.6% haste. You'd be better off using an evas sekka offhand instead, and the gain of 8 evas/10 agi will barely help you evade me O_O;; It's the same with 5/5 usu, you gained such little evasion it had little to no impact on anything VT+, while losing a ton of DD stats. If we say you're using ocelot gloves instead of dusk +1, you lose 1.6% haste, 5% DW and gain 2 agi and 8 evas.

If you want a "hybrid" evasion set, mine gives up 4% haste and 2% DW for a huge gain in evas, parry skill, evasion skill, subtle blow, and agi.
