I haven't seen any tests of Alruna's yet, but BFG can get up to 4 snapshot on them. I would be surprised if it was more than 4 on Alruna's but as far as I can see there's no proof either way yet.

Kk, tyvm for answering. That's pretty much the feeling I had. I guess I'll sell the Alruna when I get a decent augment.

How does Upheaval compare to Metatron Torment(95 Bravura)?

trying to pump out something semi respectful on metsu-

Belt choice (was wearing cuchulain's): would either windbuffet/anguinus belt or something else be better?

Helm(was rockin shura+1 w/dex5,wsdmg+3,& conserve tp6): would ocel head piece w/toci's set bonus be better? +3TA?

Neck: ~halp. I don't see a portus anywhere in my near future. Ire torque? ele gorget? 6dex/agi one from dyna?

Isn't that only because you have a weapon with a high multi attack rate?

I know we discussed how the OAX weapons stack against DA+% and STR path weapons, earlier. I ended up doing a DA+11% axe for BST. Now, I'm trying to figure out what to do for RDM.

Considering my RDM rarely melees, and it's mostly for certain special solo situations, there's a limit to the amount of cost/effort I'd put into weapons. That is, I'm not doing an Almace and I won't be buying another 200 mirrors and riftsands. Don't mind killing mobs, though.

I was looking at maybe a DMG:58 Store TP+17 / DMG:31 OA2-4 sword combo, which I mathed out to be a 5-hit round build on average (assuming a 40/30/20/10 distribution and taking into account dual wield delay and store TP).

My other options include a more conventional STR path sword, along with one of the above (Store TP or OA2-4), or two STR swords.

Assuming I'm spamming Requiescat, and that while I have MND out the ass on RDM, my STR and attack is naturally very low, and my DA% is only about 8% from gear or ~18% with Temper, and the fact that I could use enspell I or II, what seems like the best option for RDM to make kills not go so horribly slow as they otherwise would?

iirc temper testing has it going to 20 DA from it... so I think that puts justice swd in the end around the same frequency as 2-4 swd which might be worth considering lol. Personally what I use rdm for melee usually has me in defensive mode and using shield so I used 2-4 and spam sanguine blade and enspell 1. What exactly are you fighting?

Maybe oa2-4 for procing in dyna or something but if you're not going to get almace or baudelaire I would go either St/Str or Str/DA if you're talking about pure damage. I'm fairly certain Str/Str would be best with Requiescat though especially considering DA has kinda high delay, and the oax's have high delay and fairly inferior OaX rate. Not sure on justice since it stacks on normal DAs, possibly worth using (was at 75, not too sure now).

Well, more referring to more damage over time, which includes WSs, rather than high WS numbers or individual hits. I won't do DA, but I could do STR. Though on RDM, it feels like Store TP / OA2-4 combo could work well. The base damage is decent on the Store TP sword for WSs, though obviously not as high as the STR sword (58 vs 61, plus STR of course but MND is the Requiescat mod). However, the difference between the Store TP sword and the STR sword (when paired with OA2-4 in offhand) is a 5-round average build vs 6-round.

    for Ukon's Fury:

What legs? ogier's? af3? augmented breeches(3/2) something else?
(for VW mostly and higher end stuff non-aby if that still needs mentioning)
im leaning to ogier's but rather get better info then my assumption

and while on this subject during warrior's charge do af2+2 fit in anywhere? 5%crit rate at cap merit from augment + whatever the enhance double atk does(not sure anyone knows what this does yet)

I think Relic +2 legs are better, but did the calculations a while back and I'm not sure. Ogiers are a very solid option, of course, specially on hard VWNM that are uncapped on acc.

Avant +1 should be very solid.

They are metal, but that's beside the point.

If you didn't need accuracy (attack was most likely uncapped I think though) I had Avant+1 ahead, if you needed accuracy Ogier's, if WC was up and still didn't need accuracy assuming at least 4/5 WC merits (I didn't check lower) Warrior's+2 with augment won (assumed nerfed crit rate value).

For most things Rdm is lacking in lacking pretty heavily in fSTR and attack; 2-4's effect is unfavorable and it has low DoT. I'll check storetp in abit but for most situations Str sword is higher overall damage unless you're capping attack, or need accuracy.

EDIT: I have Str/Str roughly ~20% ahead of STP/Oa2-4 versus a T mob (avg 6 hits round on Str, average 5 hits a round on STP/2-4), I would assume it's slightly less considering occasional (~9%?) chance at 1 round to 100; in spite of that I think Oa2-4 keeping up in overall damage is doubtful.

Does that math factor in enspells?

That would add about 28 or 29 damage per hit, without needing to wear enhancing gear after the initial cast. At about 3 hits per round on average (across both weapons), not counting any DA on mainhand, that's an easy extra 84-87 damage per round... assuming no resists. If done with a str sword, and for fun, let's say we're using a shield and enspell II, that'd be up to 50 damage per first hit (DAs won't proc), since damage is based on skill per hit in this case. Would start at 25 damage, though.

Another thing to consider is that the circumstances I would choose to use a melee RDM are not ones where I'm facing tough mobs that could beat me up. I don't plan on taking it to VW or anything. I have other ways of tackling NMs. At most, I might expect even match, if that. The reason I'm looking into RDM weapons is because even on (high) EP or DC, my RDM can take forever to plow through fodder mobs. My solution is Requiescat and trial weapons.

For the rdm melee musings, I just uploaded a DPS spreadsheet for melee rdm. Can have fun with that. Doesn't do enspell 2's yet, though.
