NQ shura can easily get 2%. 1% is common, and tatter is cheap for dryaic...imo spam until u get 2
unless u got a HQ>...then spamming for a 3% is much harder...as 1-2 is very common
anything in addition to 2% WS damage is just a bonus...so u have nothing to lose from existing augments u already got really, except to spam till u get 2%
Yeah you should check the abj synergy thread. Guy got 3 wsdmg 3 skillchain dmg and 6 att. And none of those are from the random pool
Wonder who that could have been.
Need N:Tatters someone donate![]()
my LS mate got 3% WS damage, 2% SC damage and 7 att from HQ shura head....after 70 tries. Only 2 of 70 contain 3% wsd.... so yea thats another story
i got 2% wsd and 2% scd and 4 dex (NQ head) only after 14 tries O_O its easy
1 OR 2 is so much easier than those with 1 to 3 crit(shinryu kote) or 1-4% crit damage(byakko) -_- i tried 100 of each and didnt see any 3% crit or 4% crit damage...my luck blows
Really? I got +2 pretty often while trying to get +3, but I was using an HQ.
10/32 were +2WSDMG, 2/32 were +3 but the other one had like 5attack and one of the other 4 common. Shits random. I haven't done many Byakko's/Seiryu's but I've HQ3'd all of them and got the max HQ augment each time and shit for the other 2
Well the first part is it using HQ so your not getting the max.
And as far as the god stuff shit I get like 1/20 HQ3s and rarely are they the max. Well of what I want. Of course with seiryu kinda sucks cause I wasn't going for the forced HQ stat but one of the common ones. Then again was actually worse getting crit dmg on Heca hands.
In fact due to the much higher rate I tend to get max or at least 1 away from maxes more often on HQ2. For a long time my best seiryu was actually an NQ and what ended up replacing that was HQ2 only cause it also had acc along with the crit rate lol.
About to innin tank a mob and my base crit% during ws is 93% before i start changing my setups. I'm Obviously going to have to change an atma to accommodate the extra 30% crit.
Which of these two atma would be better? AoO or Sanguine scythe?
(Normal atma setup is RR GH apoc. I'm taking out GH)
Could be wrong but think GH is doing more for you then either of those
Do you have a Kannagi, if so then the answer is obvious.
If not, then SS will be better if that HP is going to help you and you can already decently evade it OR you know that GH isn't helping you much (eg, Alfard)
Syn: Well I got 12 more tatters today, I'm gonna try for random pool STR on my HQ legs, hoping I didnt blow all my luck
GH won't be doing much, aside from its defensive benefits, with Innin's crit rate bonus. On NIN I only get 200-300HP from SS which isn't really that much. So it would come down to 30% crit dmg bonus Vs. Triple attack+15% (& Quick Magic). I suck at melee damage math, but my gut feeling says that Apoc might be better? That, and I <3 instant cast Ni's.
Oh he said tanking so I assumed yonin lol. Good luck keeping the mob facing away from you though
Was vs A&O though, given that you already have 15% TA an additional 10% won't be as strong. They should perform about equally, maybe a slight advantage to SS. Then again A&O is a stronger DD atma than Apoc for the third slot vs anything where the attack matters, so take from that what you will.
Speaking of which, I found an error in my NIN simulations a little while ago. I'd updated critrate/dmg caps for white damage, but hadn't fully updated them for WS. Impact of the revisions:
-Byakko's Haidate with a critdmg+4% augment is just a hair ahead of Ambusher's Hose for Blade: Hi inside Abyssea even with no other relevant augments if you're using at least one of Rancor Collar or augmented Seiryu's Kote.
-Sanguine Scythe is actually fairly close to Apoc as a third atma from a DPS standpoint, take from that what you will. If you use this combination for something, the previous statement about Haidate is revised in that you do need another WS-related augment for them to be superior.
I apologize for the misinformation, my fault for being busy/lazy and not thoroughly checking everything.
How's your evasion when you do that?
Haven't parsed it but if it's not capped it's close, I don't have to roll shadows very much. I've been meaning to try it vs a bunch of other old NMs (Tinnin, maybe some ground kings) but haven't been able to play much lately.
Yeah . just got a kannagi last night and orthus doesn't turn so I was going to just innin and facetank it. Something is clearly wrong atm though since 30(RR)+30(innin)+5(merits)+20( DDex) is clearly not the 70% crit rate I got and I had 65% when innin was down without me noticing.
After I noticed only having 70% hit rate I went back to GH
That could be it i guess but if so that's extremely weak simply because with innin down I only lost 5% crit rate overall. It's a small sample of non innin melee. I would be correct in assuming i need near 10k hits without innin to be somewhat sure of things?
