I'm working on various Axes for Bst, should I go with Magic Evasion or Magic Defense Bonus? I stopped playing for a bit so I'm not sure if one was found out to be better.

I seem to recall it was too, however with the higher triple attack we now have, brutal weakens off a bit. And I think someone mathed a dex or attack earring as better. Also possibly Raider's Earring too.

Regarding to SA/TAing in full haste gear, I'm not so sure. I've been wondering if the chance to proc a level up is dependant on the damage you deal on that hit. It would explain why there's an increase in level ups on SA when using the AF3+2 gloves, and also why it's easier to proc on weaker mobs. As mentioned melee hit proc rate is shit anyway, it might be worth going for power for if that is the case and stronger hit = higher chance at proc.
For general DDing, as mentioned some pieces there are tradeoffs of dex/agi/att vs haste. Things like AF3+2 legs vs tumbler trunks, etc as mentionedin my last post. I still use Denali Bonnet for Trick Attack. Intend to replace it with Skadi's Visor when I do some more SSR and LAC puts out. Fairly sure they're pretty equal but the latter gives me inv-1 as i can ditch aurore beret for solo SATA.

Past the initial 7 proc it seems like when my ODD procs on my SA/TA it has a higher chance to proc TH again, but eyeballing, no evidence or w/e. But a theory I'd be willing to believe nonetheless.

Wbody should be able to get INT and/or MAB augments, so if you're willing to work for Synergy augments that should be the top max damage nuking body. Anhur obviously trashes everything for macc which is nice since it's great for several builds but frustrating in that it's a pain in the dick to get.

Askar. The moment you don't need the acc/stp from Emp body is the moment you should look into getting a new TP body.

Well imo Twilight Knife is still a really good offhand for DNC. Stealing TP is really great for both offense and defense and stealing HP and 3% QA ( which is equivalent of Double attack +9% with almost no diminishing returns and with priority over TA and DA ) evens out DPS and probably avg WS damage vs STR kila.

Yes. The only time samba is affected is if you miss mainhand and land offhand.

I wouldn't doubt it because didn't the initial patch notes say that TH has a chance to upgrade on "highly damaging attacks"? Hence why SA/TA upgrade more often than normal hits. An ODD proc on SA/TA should further increase the chance.

Has it been confirmed that TH can upgrade during WS and just not appear in the log? Wiki says it can and I thought I recently read something about someone testing this but I'm not sure. Should be "somewhat" easy to test over the course of a long fight. If you see TH7 in the log, WS a couple times, and see TH9+ later as if it skipped a level, then that should be enough to confirm as long as there is only 1 THF in the party. I would test but PS2 limitations and I couldn't post chatlogs to prove/debunk anyway.

24% might put you at cap with double marches with +3 instrument (possibly +2 if they add new march in 95cap update ) and haste so maybe then it would be worth it. On the other hand it will probably be better to change legs for augmented byakko at that point (and maybe some other augmented pieces like Usukane if they will introduce augments for it in next update )

EDIT: In fact you will be pretty much at cap with 24%haste 45%DW and marches with +2 instrument and af3+2 hands and haste spell. With Gjallahorn or Langeleik you need just 21% in gear (with other buffs stay the same as I just wrote)
