For DNC TP, AF3+2 legs or Calmecac Trousers? Calmecac leave me at 24% haste, so would it be more worthwhile to use Calmecac/Zelus or AF3 head/legs?

HQ staves are Affinity: Damage+2 / Accuracy +2 for their element. You do the math.

That's not entirely true, but it's mostly true. Affinity is something SE introduced into the game so that they could break up the elemental staff bonus. Staff bonus itself is actually a separate term, which matters in Abyssea when you're using Atma.

Still, the answer is damage staff all the way everywhere.

pretty sure magian beats out both. I think the only reason to keep HQ anymore is for jobs that can't magian staves.

Basically already have a 5 STP, 3 DA Armadaberk and just got a 6 STP, 2 DA one. No clue if I should swap them or not.

If they came out with more +element dmg atmas an HQ staff could potentially win... a decently augmented one would be pretty damn close if you already rocking +60% element dmg

Working on Torcleaver (9/50 lanterns), and I have a question about body/hands for the WS setup (I've got the rest figured out).

Concerning the body, I know the three best pieces are likely Twilight Mail/Shadow Breastplate/Ares's Cuirass (with ares likely being the best due to high str/vit/attack+), but what's the 4th best option (I lack the three I listed)?
Hands, there's not a TON for vit+ from what I've seen, but what should I really aim for there? I was thinking ares hands, but I'm not too certain.

Ehands can get VIT augments. Body... fourth best would probably be Grim or Byrnie +1, Nocturnus Mail for cRatio capped situations if you have one lying around til you get one of the better options.

Augmented Shadow/Valk Gauntlets can get DA on. Should go up to at least 2 and potentially 3 (Maybe 4 on HQ Hands) which will should make them the best WS hands for DRK.

Adaberk with DA/STP shouldn't be a terrible 4th Torcleaver choice.

if u have a shadow body and tatters...with a decent augment it pretty much owns...

its a bloody shame i tossed the body paper (like 3 times) way before lvl up was introduces....

Actually because of high fTP and being a 1hit WS Apathy gorget is about to equal to Mala and only HQ/3% breastplate is significantly better than Ares. NQ/2% is about to equal too. At least this is what I got from fast math.
