Atma/Memento Mori/Ascetic's/Fantod/Burst Affinity (All or some of these) and 50% Dex mod. That and no one -really- uses CW without BA up (even if I a rule for it).
Atma/Memento Mori/Ascetic's/Fantod/Burst Affinity (All or some of these) and 50% Dex mod. That and no one -really- uses CW without BA up (even if I a rule for it).
I thought it had an INT mod too, neither Wiki states what it's value is though.
Fairly certain the INT mod is less than the DEX one.
Int is the primary mod much like fstr is for physical stuff. As such it is added after ftp and isn't effected by BA. And it's really dint. Or 2*dint to be more percise.
That means on CW with af3+2 boots with BA 1 dex ~ 2.87 int. Even without BA dex is only slightly worse than a similar amount of int
How do spells with multiple mods get figured out as which part will or will not be affected by BA? Would it matter if the other mod was MND instead of INT?
Seeing the math and other spells as examples may help me understand.
Depends. Some use Dmnd some use Dint some use Dchr (lol eyes on me). After that they have 1 or 2 stat mods. Which can actually be the same as the primard Dmod. So no it wouldn't matter if it was mnd
And this would probably be the best way to show it (note it's clearly not updated for newer spells but the math and formulas are still the same) http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Ca...e_Magic_Damage.
So to do the math on a blu spell you need to know the secondary mods their percentage as well as primary and what multiple as well as ftp on top of your stats buffs gearing etc. It's actually more like a whole bunch magical ws then other nuke magic dmg as far as the math goes.
[([D + ST]*Multiplier)*Convergence Bonus) + INT bonus]*Magic Attack
So BLU skill has no bearing on this formula and only affects accuracy?
A level 95 with 150 DEX (example), 100 INT, 40 MAB with CW would be [([97+150]*60) + 100]*40?
edit: Wiki said nothing about ftp, and I don't understand what that means either.
Yes skill is only for macc. Not sure what that 60 is about but that is almost correct.
Wiki just calls ftp another multiplier. But it's easier to call that one ftp and the other one a multiplier for less confusion and that's where ftp would be if that was a magical ws.
For those stats it would be more like
[([97+150*.85*.5]*4.5) + 2*(100-mobint)]*1.40. This is assuming no BA or convergence bonus of course. Or family affinity
The 60 was the dex mod of CW according to wiki.
Where is the *.85*.5 coming from? How does the 60% dex mod translate to the *4.5 you put there? And why is the Int calculation being multiplied by 2?
Hypothetical question, if I had 100 MAB would it be *2 at the end?
edit: with BA and +1/+2 feet how does that affect all the numbers related to the 60% dex mod?
Idk I'm looking at wiki right now and it says 50%... which is where the .5 come from and the .85 is the lvl correct factor for stat bonuses. It's the same as physical blu spells as well as ws. The 4.5 is the multiplier for that term which outside of the wiki pages often is called ftp. The dint portion is being multiplied by 2 because that's the multiple the primary mod gets. If you read thru the calculating I beleive it calls that the Tier multiplier. Iirc it ranges from 1-2 depending on the spell. And remember it's dint not int. A small technicallity yes but it makes a decent difference in the math. It's why using sound blast increases dmg
Yes. The part at the end is the standard MAB/MDB part of the equation with base mab and mdb being 100.
BA adds another 100% to base stat boost on it's own with +1 it adds 166% with +2 it's 200%. Set bonus adds 200% as well. So Let's say set bonus or BA with +2 feet would basically triple the stat mod or both would multiple it by 5.
Where is that multiplier added in, using your example based off of my example as an example.
If you mean for the term called "INT bonus" it's actually part of the right above that where they define the that term as
■INT bonus = (your INT - opponent INT)*Tier Multiplier (T Multiplier).
Actually a few of your questions so far have been in that section
Oh, I was under the impression that Mavi set bonus/BA/AF3 Feet Affected the DEX portion, you're showing me that it's affecting the main Mod, INT in this case. If that's the case, I understand it now.
Yeah I was actually saying BA effected the dex part lol. That "tier Multiplier" Is pretty much the same thing blm nukes have for their dint portions of the nuking equation.
Just read over the entire section for the magical spells carefully not just the main equation part. I think everything you've asked is in there
I looked over that entire page and the link to calculating magic damage and I don't see mention of tier multiplier for blue spells specifically.
So I'm currently brooding over which relic to do in the case I go for it. I'm looking at excalibur or aegis atm, or even kikoku and seeing which would be worth doing more. I have almace/ochain atm, and mostly do voidwatch/abyssea. Would really hate to get aegis and almost never use it if magic damage is never an issue, etc.
It's there... in 3 of the magic dmg ones right underneath the formula you found.
Here this is the stuff copied right underneath the start of the magical attack section
INT Modified Magical Attack
Damage=[([D + ST]*Multiplier)*Convergence Bonus) + INT bonus]*Magic Attack etc (please refer to Calculating Magic Damage page)
■D is calculated as Blue mage's level+2. There is cap to this
■ST is Related to stats. There is level correction α
■Convergence Bonus is 1.05 for Level 1 Convergence, 1.10 for Level 2, 1.15 for Level 3
■INT bonus = (your INT - opponent INT)*Tier Multiplier (T Multiplier)
■Half Threshold Value exist.
■During Burst Affinity, Status Correction (ST) is doubled.
INT bonus' Tier multiplier is 2 because you told me it was, I do not see that anywhere though is my point.
*EDIT: NVM... just realised NIN soloing Brulo would take forever.
