I'm fairly certain you aren't capping @140, unless you are referring to outside in general and not outside hard content.

What do people concider a worthwhile range as far as pushing dex for most stuff outside abyssea (not that I know how much outside stuff I'll do on drg yet)? With Ares and af3 feet in above set at 91drg/sam I have 105 dex (not even enough to cap ddex on colibri). I can make a dex-orientated set. It would be looking like:
Twilight/Rancor/Pixie/Brutal
Af3+2/Af3+2/Thudnersoul/Rajas
Atheling/Cuchulains/Af3+2/Hecatomb
143 Str, 619 Att, 143 Dex.
Compared to what I'm currently using:
Twilight/Rancor/Ethreal/Brutal
Ares/Af3+2/Pyrosoul/Rajas
Atheling/Anguinus/Af3+2/Af3+2
142 Str, 650 Att, 105 Dex.
30ish Att vs 40ish Dex at 95 most likely then. But of course, the best set might be mix/match of those two for me? Would be awesome if anyone had a suggested dex range to aim for on crit WSs.
Edit: I might use the Dex set for Sonic Thrust anyway, as it's a one hit WS with (apparantly) 30dex/30str mod.
I don't think you'd be capping until you were 150+ and that was on City VW, not sure about Jeuno yet. My accuracy is pretty shitty on MNK and PLD though. Haven't got to run with a 2h weapon yet.
Actually, I was forgetting it was dDex 50 to cap. Was thinking 40 for some reason. Outside in general, you only need 120 or so. Mobs don't *typically* have huge AGI, I'd be surprised if VW stuff had more than 110 or so, but that's just extrapolating from what NMs were @ 75, not based on parsed data.
Point still stands, you want the dDex outside of abyssea. I'd shoot for 150-160 if you can do it without boning everything else.
Colibri have some of the lowest AGI values for their level and 120 is just over cap for them. Realistically, 120 will not cap you on most VT+ 75 cap content, nevermind newer content.
Oce. Head +1 vs Leonine mask for Hi? Also for neck. Safe to assume rancor? This is assuming outside of course.
So for outside on anything that matters, you think the 140-145~ish dex set would be best?
Colibri have E/E AGI rates, as RDM/RDM. Most mobs are C/C as WAR/WAR, and would thus have something like 75 AGI compared to a colibri's 67 (Difference between ranks is about .05 per level per rank). So 125 would cap you on anything that wasn't a THF NIN or COR (Which are the only jobs with higher than C AGI).
(At level 75 against VT fodder monsters)
125~130 is probably good to cap hit rate on most/all Nightmare monsters and EP beastmen. If you're going for more than that, ~150 is more likely what you should aim for. There's also some evidence that Voidwatch monsters have such high stats that it's really not worth stacking DEX against them under any circumstances. You will never get off the floor.
I'd imagine that would include INT as well? I've heard some conflicting reports about how helices fair against VWNM, some saying they perform quite well. I wouldn't be surprised if that was completely wrong, though. FFXIAH forums, etc.
So:
Voidwatch: Better to use Str/Att Set (Prolly throw in Plackart+2 over Ares though for Accuracy, depending)
Dynamis/WoE/Easier stuff outside: Dex set
Inside: Att/Str set?
Good to know, I probably wont add a rule for the dex bsed set then, I don't do much content on drg at the moment outside abyssea (or inside tbh).
THF TP:
AF3+2 body + AF3+2 Hands + Homam feet
vs
Loki's, Dusk gloves+1, Ballerines
Also, is X's Knife worth using offhand inside Abyssea?
Set 1 for non fodder iirc.
X's knife is pretty outdated, oneiros would be an upgrade.
For a cure set:
Healing skill +20, 100 HP added to stoneskin - vs - 10-14% Cure Potency
Whats the best Impetus down body, until Toci's drops?
af3+2, afaik.
Can argue it both ways tbh. The curepot doesn't help if you overcure, the cureskin doesn't help if they don't take damage while it's up. Ideally you'd have both 50% cure potency and off the top of my head WHM can get about 43% curepot without the body slot before even looking at buyables, so I'd probably just go for AF3+2 and fill in the remaining 7% asap after.
I'm thinking about using AF3 body for C6 and Cure Pot body for C5/4/3 on my whm mule tbh, good/bad/terribad idea? Figure outside would keep C6 as a insta-stoneskin, as C3-5 will cover everything 99% of the time right?
For Rudra's, Sea Gorget vs. a DEX+4 neck? (Shifting Necklaces are never on the AH)
For namas arrow, light gorget/belt versus ire+1/bier+1? Target would be VW t3's/RCB/temps active etc... If neither of those +STR options win, how much +STR would it take to outweigh the bonus from gorget/belt? I guess im asking, is it a complete washout where one is going to always be better other than the other? at what point will it be when one overtakes the other, anyone mathy for this :E? Would be hugely appreciated!~
