The equivilent of the DA+10 melee weapons. Stats at 95:
DMG: 62 Delay:660
Occ. deals dbl. dmg.
For my COR, I used Miramar gun while waiting on NM Trials. However, almost any magian trial gun, you're gonna spend almost as much time making it as making an armageddon to 85, so might as well do arma.
Use an AH gun if you have any desire at all to make a WOE/Armageddon later on, not worth the extra time spent on trials that could have been towards a wildfire gun.
Awesome, thx for all the feedback guys. I think i will just wait to do Arma after Ukon. This gun be strictly be for Cor so I have to agree that working on Arma pre trials is an excellent suggestion instead of making a magian gun
Sorry but one more question about Cor :0 Should i use staves or Acinaces dagger? I like to shoot things on Cor, I dont play it likes its a brd and just put rolls up and afk lol
oh forgot to mention i currently have nguul and trailer's Kukri
Staves, especially with wildfire.
Seconded. One of the reasons why Wildfire is hugely more epic than Leaden Salute, is because you can use Vulcan's, which boosts it's damage, a non-sleep/dispel QD's damage, and normal per-shot damage. I do still want an Acinaces tbh, though it'd have very situational use (Out of TP ammo, called last minute for event, none on AH, main supplier not online) and I would never advocate meleeing over shooting for TP when you want to deal the most damage.
Does anyone know which is best of these from earlier?
Full-time melee, SA (not just running in): Oneiros or Ocelomeh
Drg while waiting on OAT: Oneiros or Vougier's?
For dancing edge: love torque vs. justiciar's vs. gorget vs. ?
I was thinking justiciar's would be good considering THF and attack issues, not sure though.
Noodle,
you seem pretty knowledgeable about Cor, is there a guide that you could link me to? I'm the only Cor in my LS and since I came back to the game from a 2year break in March, I'm a little behind on my knowledge about the job since so much has changed since the 75 cap.
Thx![]()
As a general rule of thumb, is a 5-hit on DRG worth it or does a 6-hit offer more overall due to increased gear options?
Not really. Random Question Thread is great if you have random cor questions. But on what's changed between 75 and 90, the main ones are:
Melee isn't better than shooting for TP anymore.
Tacticians and Misers are great DD rolls that both Melee and Ranged jobs benefit from.
In non-dedicated mage parties, you shouldn't find you need to Evoker's Roll much, or at all anymore, meaning most of the time you can chuck up Misers/Tacticians and DD.
Wildfire is a massive boost for the job. And I mean massive. WoE or Empyrean gun is fine, luckilly Empyrean has the easiest NM path to 85, and 90 isn't hard either.
Other than that it's mostly the same. Don't think I missed anything vital?
Mekira head +1 vs. ravager's +2 for ukon?
Is the 5 hit on Corseca really worth it though? If the OAT distribution is 60/40 then you'll over run on TP 40% of the time, so it's only a 12% increase in WS frequency, but then from swapping from 6 hit set you lose 3% weapon delay, 2%DA and 2%TA which works out about 6.5% WS frequency. Normally a 5 hit would be an 20% increase in WS frequency, but in this case it's only like 5.5~%. Is the 5.5% WS frequency worth the equipment trade offs you have to make to TP, WS and Jumps?
Ignoring DA for the moment
6 hit:
12.96% chance of 5 rounds to WS.
51.84% chance of 4 rounds to WS
35.2% chance of 3 rounds to WS
Average rounds/WS = 3.777
5 hit
21.6% chance of 4 rounds to WS
62.4% chance of 3 rounds to WS
16% chance of 2 rounds to WS
average rounds to WS-> 3.056. Increase in WS frequency: ~23.6% Not the 12% you quote.
