nahh. It's good if you don't have Felibre's Dague but it's not typically the best. Even though Chanter's Staff + Quire Grip will give the same amount of skill as a Felibre's Dague, you're also getting Song Spellcasting Time -6% from Felibre's. Also, with your sub slot open, you can dualwield Felibre's Dague + Silktone for 2 more skill with a /DNC or /NIN sub. This would only be useful for Scherzo and T2 Carols though. Minuet V and everything else will usually be capped naturally anymore as far as I know, so duration bonus from Carnwenhan would probably be best for those, like dasva said.

Does Ocelomeh Headpiece +1 beat out Anwig Salade (with the obvious augments) for Blade: Hi inside or outside abyssea at all?

Am I wrong to think that Sanguine Scythe beats Gnarled Horn on THF? I thought it won but I've been hearing people advocating otherwise >.> I'm sitting at 64% crit Rate w/ RR but before SS or GH, (74% if Evis is a 10% bonus), and 45% Crit Dmg. GH puts me at 84% Crit Rate (94% on Evis), which would be a 37.8% and 42.3% increase. Then SS puts me at a 75% Crit Dmg increase, which would be a 48% and a 55.5% increase.

    Correct?

Assuming you have RR, Sanguine Scythe beats GH in terms of pure damage output for pretty much every melee DD with a crit WS except a Kannagi NIN, though the degree it outpaces GH varies and sometimes is marginal. On THF, SS also has the benefit of greatly increasing SA damage and TA damage, whereas GH only would increase TA damage.

That being said, if you're lowman tanking on THF, GH may be a superior choice for the extra evasion boost, as the bonus HP and enmity likely aren't needed in this situation. I'd also consider GH on MNK/WAR for the extra counter as well, depending on what I'm tanking.

Depends on the mob. On my spreadsheet I have Sanguine Scythe doing more damage on trash mobs, but Gnarled Horn doing more on real mobs. Also AGI-Subtle Blow etc.

The Subtle Blow factor is one thing I forgot to mention. Not sure why GH would be doing more for you on NMs, as the data I've been looking at uses Bukhis stats for calculations. SS wins by a much narrower margin compared to fodder mobs (9 dps difference on Bukhis vs 18 dps on fodder), but still is technically ahead.

That being said, I generally just use RR, GH, Apoc because I'm often tanking lowman stuff on thief and because I'm lazy and like to reapply my last atma selection from NIN.

Yeah, forgot to change some gear back from when I was looking at DE vs Evis. With same gear I have SS beating it very marginally (276.6 vs 277.2) however it doesn't concider GH's Counter.

Depends on whether the DEX is contributing to critrate.

For Foldypaws (and anyone else interested), Drg speadsheet v1 has been made and uploaded. I've only done a minimal bit of testing on it, just enough to be sure that everything at least looks like it's working properly, though I'm pretty sure there's a few things that aren't completely implemented yet. Play with it and let me know of any issues you come across.

What have you gone with on the base crit rate of Drakesbane at 100%TP out of interest? Actually I should probably post in the RQT but does anyone know the crit rate bonus of drakesbane at 100%TP? Because I'm not convinced it's as high as other top-tier crit WS.

Not sure exactly, I'd guess around 10-15% though. Will test it if I get a chance.

This post posits a 5-10% boost given minimal data.

Thanks a bunch, haven't found anything yet, although is aftermath/WSDMG implemented in any fashion for Ryu? (I just put them in by hand as DA/TA WSDamage) but that means I can't try to figure out %/time aftermath is up.

I left it at the default 10% @ 100 TP. It's likely that all crit-based weaponskills need to have their base value tested. Only one I know for sure is Ukko's, and even it hasn't had the scaling rate tested (that I know of).

Aftermath for all Mythic weapons is a royal pain. I haven't worked out a way of managing it, and I'm not sure I'm motivated enough to try.
