Just wanted to do a follow up with Shoha/Fudo set.
VW with perfect rolls
55saveTP (20atma,25roll,10body), 10 regain (3atma,4roll,3 monarch) = perma 2 hit build
On the DPS sheet its a 56% increase over a traditional 5hit. With human error, over TP etc it will be lower then that, but thats a huge increase from using the new body.
Edit: 2hit build also makes TPbonus the GKT of choice, since you are cutting out almost any white damage.
You can augment relic gear. After you get relic+2 there is another trial that requires 20k exp in a specific dynamis zone.
There are constraints, however. You probably (most likely?) need the mob facing on you everytime you WS. Now with half dozens of melee raping the mob; If you don't full time stagger it, then the increase will go down even further. And mob like Kaggen is really PITA due to amensia AoE. Making the WS spam nullified.
I very rarely need 2 visible rounds in VW to reach 100 TP
Mostly it goes like :
40 TP (20+20 shoha) -> 1 hit before Shoha animation finish (+20TP=60TP) -> double attack (100TP)
Even the last swing isn't a double attack, the 6TP/tick (more with Tactician's rolls) will bring me to 100+TP.
A lot of time, I still caught myself unleashing WS on overflowed TP.
Also regarding perfect rolls, getting in an 11 chain doesn't mean you will have constant 11s up. PR still has a recast 20-30 second recast and unless snake eye is up, a 1/6 chance of hitting 11. More often than not you will have a high/lucky roll up for 18/28 out of those 20/30 seconds waiting on recast (cus busting with 15 seconds left on recast is fail when your dds could still have mediocre rolls for those 15 seconds".
But yeah, goes out the window when the cor is in the process of refreshing his/her 11 rolls.
Ofcourse there are restraints. 11s are very common in VW, so are proced mobs. Stuff like Amnesia is effecting every DD. Its nowhere near fool proof but when it is its a ridic boost to DoT. Shoha has such a long animation you will rarely see a swing with a 2hit, its just spam spam spam.
Going from Ace's to Saotome+2 is a 2% loss in damage, so even if the mob turns its not like your damage goes to shit. If OW does proc then your damage spikes.
You can also have Spellcast WS every time you have the tp to limit the human side of things. JA0wait also helps a ton for moving in front of the mob.
Having a guarenteed 2 hit is a large boost in damage and any overage in TP from DA etc is just boosting WS damage.
Does SaveTP cap at 45? Someone on FFXIAH mentioned that, but I've never seen any testing at all.
BG wiki says 45% but no link to testing it looks like... if you have body on sam and atmacite you could test up to 50 rq solo
Byrthy tested it at 45%
So, Saotome Domaru +2 only gives the 2-10 TP back if the weaponskill hits, which is different from any other source of Save TP.
Also, it was Phaffi testing it and (iirc) it was Discipline + Hagakure + 11 Miser's Roll.
If Overwhelm procs
the body is overall worthless unless you're trying to proc with a quint spear in dynamis or something... lolz
For drg jumps:
what hat? (currently using) Twilight, Sceamol Band(5% DA), Af3+2(i heard set bonud can proc already using 4/5 on jumps), something else?
