I saw it this afternoon in the EMPIRE EXPERIENCE theatre, which really was more of a deafening experience than anything else.

I liked it. It had lots of action, lots of manly men, lots of aliens, lots of pretty women with really modern makeup, and some tender kid moments. Plot was convoluted and predictable but that didn't take away from the movie.

I went into Battle LA with high expectations and came out bored to tears.

I honestly thought the atmosphere of the film seemed a bit too somber, could have done with more strategic placement of comedy. Would watch again.

We just went to see this last night, and I liked it, but I agree that it took itself too seriously. More humor thrown in and it could have been more like ID4; great action scenes, weak plot, but still an enjoyable popcorn flick.

They could have also used anybody but Harrison Ford and it would have been fine. Would have saved them a large part of their shooting budget, as well.
