Just Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah since their airship docks are off-limits, unlike Gridania's.

There's an invisible wall/path in the north of Grid iirc (don't spend much time there, but then again who does).
All those paths will probably lead to future content that is being planned.
Is it really that Obvious hm?HM? lol I'm really looking forward to this jazz about Map revamping, and if they will touch on the actual Cities themselves, I would certainly dig them making a dedicated spot for the Companies desk, and or possibly sneaking in an Auction House esque counter for the future, as well as readjusting placement of existing locations. I really hate the whole having to zone into the wards.
Ul'dah has a few places that look like future zone lines. I'm sure you could find more in other cities too. Would be nice if the cities had a dungeon zone line like in XI that isn't yet accessible.
This doesn't make any sense. You go to the wards, click whatever it will be called from the list, and it take you to the Company Room. From the picture it will have a big counter with several NPCs, also looks like a fairly big room with other junk inside it. So not really sure how it is not "some special place in the city that you physically go to."
I think the point was that it isn't part of the city proper, but an instanced zone within the city accessed via the market wards. However, I guess it is no longer proper to refer to that zone-line as the market wards. Many different areas are now accessed via that zone-line. The wards, the echo club (uldah's main base echo club, and gridania's satellite echo club), and now the companies.
Lotus Gardens: Market Wards, Peasant Wards, Order of the Twin Adder Company Ward
The Dunes: Market Wards, Merchant Wards, Immortal Flames Company Ward
Southern Islands: Market Wards, Maelstrom Company Ward
Pretty much what Vuitton said. For something that is supposed to be a Big Thing, it feels a little bit cheaper that it's an instance past a zoneline down a blurry alleyway that is also holding all the market wards and the semi-secret Waking Sands. It's not really the biggest deal, but IMO something like that should be up a huge staircase, into the heart of Ul'dah, and have a sense of grandeur about it. I'm thinking back to what a cool feeling it was going to Heavens Tower for Windurst missions. There's something just not-as-impactful about going to the market wards and picking a different option.
I agree, I thought they would use that place on top of the stairs near the Alch guild in Ul'dah. If I'm not mistaken, the Sultan's chamber is there too so it would've made sense.
Maybe it's something temp until the zone redesign? Though it'll be about another year before that happens I'm assuming.
I would have preferred making them accessible via the elevators each city has, tbh the market wards should have been too. The wards in Limsa/Grid are annoyingly out of the way compared to Uldah's which are withing spitting distance of the aetheryte and leve npcs.
Is there anywhere to see what type of rewards you can get from each? When I go back to the game I'll probably keep playing LNC I think. Is there a vendor that you buy from with the marks you obtain?
Yup, there are two NPC at the Grand Company Room, one gives you missions the other sells the gear but I have no idea if you can check his stuff before joining the company.
LNC gear from seals is in Lomsa Lominsa. Strange considering the guild is in Gridania, but thems the breaks. You can join all 3 companies at no penalty though.
Is there a way to get more seals beyond the initial quests at the moment? is there a repeatable one for doing the dungeons?
I'm pretty sure you can only do each quest once per company. So, you can currently only get like 250 from being a recruit, 500 from the first quest, 1,000 from Thousand Maws, and however many come from Darkhold. And then you're out of luck until they add more (hopefully repeatable) quests.
