The GS charge and the barrel setup on the MH parody was pretty fucking hilarious, but I really lost it when Kodaka popped up on a seifuku on the second half

It wasn't even parody, while they 'faked' the playstation name, everything MH was dead on, even the incidental GS swings. "Yay, Dragonite" lol.
Only the material trade and PvP kill was wrong (unless they changed that in MHP3), never been able to trade any worthwhile monster parts.

Though, any real GS user fucking with someone uses the upswing, not the charge.

I hope it makes more appearances, and that the ad material Gulk posted isn't just a tiny dvd bonus segment.

It is, but Geass was dark, fabulous and somewhat clever (and stayed that way until season 2) unlike Guilty Crown which is just more of the same. Lelouch and CC would beat the crap out of this main duo.

Boku wa Tomodachi 2 was awesome. It had me laughing the entire episode. Pool episode next! The ep. made me want to pull out my psp and start playing mhp3rd... but I hate crab-clawing... tempted to import mhp3rd HD.

I watched UN-GO and Guilty crown yesterday. UN-GO's jagged chins will take some time to get used to, but I think the show is interesting. The mystery in the first episode was very predictable. I hope it isn't like that throughout the entire show, or I'll just drop it.

Guilty Crown was alright. The only part I liked about the first episode was when Gai kicked the shit out of those people. Also, I hope the "pull item out of my chest" ordeal was just a one time thing. I think it's kind of dumb. They do that in Dantalian and one part in PenguinDrum (kind of).

Waiting for HorribleSubs to post Persona4 so I can watch that... I'll check out Mirai Nikki sometime this weekend. After I try putting down Dark Souls ><.... Why is the game so addictive @_@

Gotten that, too. Been using CCCP, but since I don't think it auto-updates or anything, I probably need to grab a new batch or something if Can's right. *tothegooglemobile*

You need to completely uninstall any previous codec packs including previous versions of CCCP. Any release after 2011-07-31 should have Hi10p support.

Guilty Crown Ep1

This is a totally okay first episode, nothing special, nothing terrible. although the production values at some parts felt shockingly low(hello weird placed still shots with moving lips). Good thing I had my expectations in check because otherwise this would have been a huge disappointment.


Un-Go Ep 1

Hey, you know whats a smart idea? Lets create a detective mystery show were you have a random magical character who just solves the mystery with magical powers taking the fun out of detective work and making the whole aspect totally meaningless.

I don't understand who this is supposed to appeal to.


Last Exile -Fam Ep1

Well, this was a good first episode, While the presentation may not be anything noteworthy. the way they delivered it here was actually enjoyable with good character animation and decent direction, the plotting and setting remain pretty intriguing. In any case, despite not having a lot of confidence in Studio Gonzo's capabilities, this could have been a lot worse.

You need to completely uninstall any previous codec packs including previous versions of CCCP. Any release after 2011-07-31 should have Hi10p support.

I just did a direct install, so not sure if there are any conflicts. Either way, the couple files I had sitting around with the artifacting issue seem okay now, so not sure if an uninstall is a requirement or not.

Last Exile -Fam Ep1

In any case, despite not having a lot of confidence in Studio Gonzo's capabilities, this could have been a lot worse.

I was a bit disappointed with Last Exile(Fam) since I'm currently marathon'ing the first season still. The charm and magic that was in the first series is gone and it's been replaced with fanservice (which is fine for most series but it's a clear step down for this franchise). I guess that's to be expected since that's how anime has changed in the past 8-9 years. It's kinda like they applied some of Strike Witches to Last Exile.

Other than that little rant, it should still turn out to be a good anime. Like Ker mentioned, the animation was solid (the 3-D effects weren't as bad as I thought but still not the best) and the characters are fine, I think I'll like Fam. The setting is unchanged but the vanships/airships feel a little off with their mechanics and flight patterns (like when they were flying still in front of the airship near the beginning... not the physics I came to expect from the first season). On it's own, it will be a good anime but if you try to compare it to the first season, it's just not at the same level.
