I don't think I need to say much here, because there's nothing much to be said other than that it was a fucking awesome despite being a setup episode.

No Yaoi subtext going on here.
man, having sorta quit anime made me forget all about fate/zero even though i'm a huge FSN fanboy, just started watching this week
still surprised they skipped heavenly feel and went straight to animating this, isn't it a big spoiler for people who haven't read through HF? lol
anyone know if they plan to make a HF series/OVA/movie at all?
Anyone else watching Tamayura? I think I found my favorite character for this season:
Spoiler: show
Those animations look terrible, is the guy intentionally supposed to look that bad?
Also WAGA VELVELTO ROOM. I never understood why Igor has like veins coming out of his eyes. Also the premise seems sort of stupid compared to the Persona 3 at least. In 3 they actually had a pretty solid explanation of how your powers manifested and why there are shadows/Dark Hour/etc. Here it's just like oh hey we can teleport into this random television in a Best Buy and we just magically get our Personas. I feel like either the anime is doing a poor job of explaining the story well or I just need to play P4. Either way I still love the music though.
It's the first two episodes of a mystery lol, can't explain that much without giving shit away.
Well, P4 is more scooby doo adventure than anything else to begin with
Solid explanation? They didn't give you a better explanation early in P3...You shoot yourself in the head with...hm...magical bullets to make your persona appears, and there is a mysterious 25th hours that no one is aware off where nasty monsters come out and eat people.
Replace the Evoker with a pair of glasses that let you see through the shadow/fog (a concept that is going to explained in detail later), and replace the 25th Tower with a similar parallel world, and both show are pretty much at the same place.
In both case, it's not until the end game that you learn the meaning behind these places.
Yup, in a nut shell.
Just watched Guilty Crown, and while I love the music at the start, there wasn't much else that grabbed me. It's cool, the art is lovely and the animation is good when it matters. The story/characters seem like a let down, but only 1 episode so far so not going to judge it too early. If the music keeps up, I'll stick around for longer though. Could be a Star Driver type thing, except SD was way cooler and more fabulous from the outset.
UN-Go was interesting. I like the main pair, but with all the characters they introduced (and so poorly) it's hard to care much about any of them (even the main characters). Hopefully it picks up, I like the style and I think it could be something good later on.
Guilty crown ep1 could be better, it was overall b/c of terrible storytelling IMO, everything felt out of place, and the song in the beginning felt like it's wasted on something that has no emotional value at all. It's a good song nonetheless.
Yeah, there ought to be a much better usage of the insert song.
I found that song to be as generic as the rest of the episode.
UN-GO concept is interesting, but we need better mysteries than this Scoobidoo bullshit in future episode. The viewer had no chance to figure it out on his own, and the explanation came out of the left field. Hopefully, it's just because they had little time since they introduced many characters, but we will see.
I suspect the show is going to be episodic like Dantalian and have one mystery per episode, which is fine, but I'm not sure how good it can get.
I agree with you about Guilty Crown. It has potential, like SD or CG, but this show is missing an interesting concept to drive the plot for now.
Indeed, them playing it a second time and cutting it out was so forced as well lol.
This is my problem with it as well. The answer didn't feel like it was earned, it was just a given that half the people in the room knew about for no good reason. Every time they revealed something it was just like, "oh, I guess so."
Some thoughts on the first full week of anime this season:
http://avvesione.wordpress.com/2011/...n-2011-week-2/
Anime I'm watching are: Chihayafuru, Guilty Crown, Idolmaster, Ika Musume, Last Exile, Penguindrum, Persona 4, Tamayura, UN-Go, and Working!! Been happy with all so far.
Yes, he's all visual gags of him being way to enthusiastic and insane.
I'm keeping up with.. /screenshot for lazyness

although I'm sure I'm missing something, I always tend to between keeping all that anime up to date +watch + online gaming, a job, and keeping up to date on the ffxi/ffxiv pics/hentai/warcraft pics thread etc >.>
If you watched Guilty Crown 1, this is WELL worth a read:
