Which one, 1 or 2? I tried both and nothing seemed Madoka related in first few seconds.
I haven't seen Hidamari Sketch, downloading some random subs for the first three seasons now...
Inu Curry did the countdown opening with witch barrier style art on the SP OVA, had me rolling when I first saw it
Oh yeah I noticed it was the same art style too, didn't think that was it though. Thought it was just a SHAFT thing and didn't want to assume it was a Madoka thing, nice haha.
I just got around to watching Ben-To 5.
Ok, it's really Fate/Zero, but fuck it, Ben-To is anime of the season.
"Good Job"
Also, Carnival Phantasm 7 is good, second segment left me happy.
And goddamn it, I can't find a full version of the ED.
Stupid comment? If you hadn't made such a generalized statement you wouldn't have gotten a response that showed how retarded your statement was. Keep trying to save face with context bullshit, it's quite funny. If someone was talking to me about how Nanoha Strikers is 26 episodes long and should have been 13 and I said "Indeed, 26 episode long series are stupid" am I talking about just fate/zero or am I making a generalized statement? I'll give you a hint, it's the one that makes me right and you bad at English.lol, maybe if you could read and understand context you wouldn't have made a stupid comment. Oh look, you're doing it again. Stop doing that.

I'm contemplating watching T&B next, I was waiting for commie to do the batch they said they'd do like two months ago but it seems they're being themselves. Might just say fuck their batch. I've created such a backlog since I haven't been bringing my anime with me to campus.. I really need to start watching stuff.
Guilty Crown tossed a curve ball today. I still hate the main character.
Personally I think it's getting better as the story continues, I know a few of you guys gave up on it already though.
Persona 6 was awesome. The MC, I don't know how to describe him. He's like... bland? But to a degree that makes it entertaining and charming. Especially in contrast to all the other outgoing personalities in the show.
Yeah, he's bland in a blank slate way (cause of the game I guess), but it manages to be entertaining. His reactions to things are pretty much the only really new thing adding to the anime. I guess they portray him as extremely reliable and level-headed, to the point where other characters find him strange.
I like what they did to Shu and I'm starting to think that Gai is hiding something major with all the immoral things he's been doing and his secretive nature. I'm hoping he turns out to be evil like a villain sort of that completely shatters Shu's personality and forces him to rebuild himself into a stronger and more independent character. It was the topic of my post so it's been on my mind the past few hours.

Hope you find it interesting! (kinda long tho)
I think Ben-To is a fun anime and I plan to watch it after this season is over but can someone explain to me what about they like so much? It's been getting lots of positive reviews here but all I hear is "it's great" or "it's fun". I haven't see anything descriptive about it like "i really like Yarizui, she's a caring person and an awesome fighter" or "Satou is hilarious, i really like it when he gets his ass kicked" or something.
That blandness is what I like most about Yuu. I realize it's because he was the PC in the game and had to be designed like that for the game but I like it as his personality in the anime. Not only has it been used for several jokes but it seems like he's always more serious than everyone else around him, like he's the only sane person in a town full of crazies. I'm taking from it that he's rational, reliable, and intelligent but never casual or overexpressive.
And whenever I see him, I think of you Ulmega because of your avatar. I'm going to guess you have that kinda personality irl now =P
I like reading your synopses, although I think you can be a bit over analytical here and there.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for myself, the anime entertains me because it's an absolutely bizarre concept that takes itself seriously just enough so to make it really entertaining. I don't have all the character names, so bare with me, lol: The MC is kind of the prototypical MC, level headed, put in situations that bring out a lot of comedy and always given mental dilemma's to deal with. The Ice Witch is one of the, if not the main heroine, starts off as very cold and emotionless but is slowly coming around to be more and more human in each new episode. The nerdy girl who is secretly writing yaoi fiction is very... sensitive to those around her, but in a comedic, not wanting to bother everyone sort of way. But she is definitely one of the bigger comedic foils, just purely by her overreactions and naughty... but in a cute way(?) comments. And the last main'ish character, the Beauty by the Lake is the overly sexual, but only in a playful way, cousin who is supposedly a rival fighter, but is on the good side because of her relationship with the MC. She comes off as strong and whatnot, but as the last episode or two show, she has her weaknesses/demons too.
The characters are all kind of typical prototypes that can be found in other animes, but what makes the anime entertaining is the overall storyline that brings em together. You have rival fighters who "own" territory (AKA, convenience stores), which they frequent night after night to fight over discounted bento boxes. It's the bizarre and pretty original main story (at least, it's original to me >_>) that makes the anime enjoyable for me.
Hope that helped a little =X
Having been playing Persona 3 Portable a lot lately, I love picking up on little nuances that they added to the anime from the game. Like, the music notes and little flower petals that emit from the characters when they are happy or get a response they like. And watching the MC react to people, and the things he says, I can't help but think about the character relationship aspect to the game, and be like "he picked the correct answer", lol. Also, the bit where they're running from the newly introduced thug character (I'm terribad with names), and the food delivery girl catches up with them, that part was hysterical, lol.Originally Posted by Elcura
Him being the MC is part of the reason why he is bland, but I don't think his personality can be explained with that alone. Persona 3's MC for example was a lot more mysterious than Yuu and felt different in overall. I would say that both games did a good job giving a personality to an otherwise silent characters. That blandness is what I like most about Yuu. I realize it's because he was the PC in the game and had to be designed like that for the game but I like it as his personality in the anime. @GuiltyCrown
I'm still having trouble with this show. I would probably be fine with the story under different circumstances, but I simply cannot get used to the tits and asses they keep shoving in your face for no fucking reason. I have nothing against fanservice when a show doesnt take itself seriously (ie: TTGL, penguindrum, Stardriver, etc) or when the sole purpose is to have fanservice, but in this case, it's making me rage. And yes, I know I'm complaining about this every weeks.
Other than that, I have a lot of things I would like to nitpick about this episode, but in overall, I thought it was the best one so far. I know most of you don't like Shu (and I can't say I'm a huge fan), but I don't hate the way they were trying to develop his character.
mmm random fan service guilty crown... want to see more tsugumi though (´¬`)
I feel that way from time to time, too, but it's helps generate some discussion which is one of the reasons I write articles like that. Well, mainly, I want to point out things that I liked/thought was interesting or that people may have missed or so on and so forth rather than writing reviews each time. But thanks for your input, I'll keep it in mind.
It helps a lot. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
You and me both. I wanna see a Tsugumi-centered episode soon.
I'm having a hard time wanting to enjoy this show as well. I can't help but compare it to E7, MC that's living a boring life and is suddenly thrust into a world of rebels going against the government, female lead he falls in love with, but is only super attached to the rebel leader that the MC doesn't really like. Mechs, some sci-fi aspects, a big group of rebels with each person having a distinct personality. The show isn't at all a clone to E7, but it has some similarities that I can't help but to compare. It's been kind of "meh" so far for me, compared to a few of the other shows this season.
