Takehito Koyasu is still my favorite VA, always will be, that guy is just plain awesome. Does he have a twitter btw?

It's actually been Takehito Koyasu's more recent works as secondary or "special" characters that have caught my attention, although I really liked his roles in mid-late 90s animes, too. Couldn't find any twitter for him but he does have a website (all japanese obviously) that functions like a blog of sorts.

But yeah, I'm glad to see he has some fans here and that people recognize his name. He and Jun Fukuyama are easily my two favorite male voice actors and I'm glad they're in a bunch of anime this season.

kinda hard to narrow down my favorite male seiyuu, but Kamiya Hiroshi ought to rank pretty high in my list, I just love his ranting/trolling voice. Still have no fucking idea why Shimono Hiro's getting half the role he does the past few season, but maybe it's just my overall bias toward the character he portrayed being hetare shuujin, but I can't help thinking that all of the shit he does would be about 2-10x better with Miyano Mamoru instead of him.

Who do you guys use for Working!! subs? There are like 5 different groups, it looks like m33w did the S1 fansubs so they have some popularity going into it and they are who I am using to watch S1 but I dunno who to pick for S2 episodes. Release speed isn't really a factor for me because I have to watch S1 anyway.

I use HorribleSubs for pretty much everything now. Ironic thing is they aren't "horrible" at all. Only other good sub I've seen is gg, but they only seem to do Mawaru.

I'm pretty sure HorribleSubs is just ripped from CrunchyRoll, correct me if I'm mistaken but they aren't an actual translation group.

gg usually only subs one show every season

they'll sub one that they like, and if possible, they do trollsubs for another series they hate

they have been less active lately because of the licensing; they don't sub stuff that horriblesubs/commie/crunchyroll etc picks up

A lot don't, as far as I know. That's why everyone else's releases are slower - they have to spend time translating the shit. You got Doki, UTW, Chihiro, Mazui, etc all not using CR scripts. CR is honestly very lazy sometimes, if you look at their subs for shows like Gintama or Nichijou, sometimes they will just put question marks where they couldn't translate something. I think nonprofit fansubbers tend to be more resourceful about things like that.

For anyone interested in but not following Horizon, with episode 8 they've finally hit the core of the plot. Considering it's a half-season series...

While I enjoy it, and think it's well worth a watch, it does have one fuck of a pacing problem and that only makes it harder to overlook any other flaws. It's dropped the ball worse than Guilty Crown (though, I think GC is a bit unjustly harshed on).

I agree, I had read the description of the anime during the summer season and didn't really give it a second thought. I'm really happy I watched the first episode, watching it every week makes my Tuesday's quite enjoyable

Easily my favorite Chihaya. Loved the episode from start to finish and it revitalized my love for the series all in one go.

Persona was terrible this week. I'm not sure if it's a consequence of what we heard about half the staff quitting, but it felt like the quality was lower than what I came to expect.

The script itself was fine I guess, but with this animation..it didn't feel right at all.

After the opening, the scene with the 5 of them at the table talking with nothing but their mouths moving was what caught my eye. No head turning, barely any reaction faces, only the lips moving and that was it. That particular scene bothered me, but I didn't really notice the rest of the episode. I'm about to rewatch it
