I pulled my history last year and it wasn't on there. I think it has to go to collections before it hits your score. But I have no clue.

Also the hospital fucked up and I didn't need to be in there for 3 days. Basically I went to the ER, told the nurse I had pneumonia, had her write that down on my chart, we both signed it. Then they started running x-rays, a CT scan, my own private room, 4 specialists, to then tell me I had pneumonia. I asked why they didn't treat me for pneumonia 30 grand earlier and they couldn't give me a reason. Gave me some run-around that I can't diagnose myself. Told the doctor to pull up my chart and made sure he understood why I was pissed. He sent me to the financial office after I was discharged.

notoriously I've never heard of hospital bills affecting credit scores as I have a handful of family members who have left theirs unpaid

More and more seem to come everyday from private sectors.

I've gotten a lot of PM's on advice. The only thing I can do is either A. pay all this for the next 20 years. Or B. Try to file for disability short term to wipe this off my face.

I wen't into FirstSource (The financing dept. for my hospital) and they literally laughed at me saying I was in "too high" of a previous income bracket to qualify for anything smaller. Yet I'm no different than any other guy in his 20's in America.

Talked to a lawyer earlier today to see what are my options, they're gonna follow up with me Monday morning. Only thing that's painful going that route is getting around 1.3k for representation to push Social Security to prove I cannot work on the medications I'm currently on. (I need witness statements, doctor written letter, etc....)

As to follow up with the sales, everything is sold except Devil May Cry 4 and the Energizer/PDP charging dock station.

Something similar happened with some of my 1 year old son this year. He was in the hospital due to RSV ( fucked up his lungs and made it very hard for him to breathe...him being two months born early doesn't help
either). We got the bills -_- been paying and still have about 1200 left... shit was a lot of money.

Got to the thread late, I am looking to possibly get a PS3. Will look elsewhere !

Friend and I got into a car accident Christmas '07 and the other drive was uninsured, so was my friend. I got off thanks to my insurance covering my bills but my friend still has 5k of medical bills on his credit and he was just able to finance a new car with the lease amount of interest possible. so idk how medical bills effect credit exactly, doesnt seem to be that bad.
