    POL Randomly crashing

I'm asking this for a friend since she's too chicken to post on here..

Recently found out her FFXI was running on her onboard graphics card and not her Nvidia graphics... So we changed that, boosted settings, downloaded newest drivers, etc... Well, I was doing all this for her through remote assistance on MSN, it all worked, she could log on(with obvious lag from the remote connection) but it all worked.

We closed the remote connection and now whenever she tries to boot up POL(with windower) it auto-crashes on her, not giving any form of error and just says viewer has stopped working.

Anyone have any experience with this or know possibly why something would work normally on remote assistance but then crash w/o it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Windows 7, Graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce GT 420M. Can't boot POL with or without windower under the newest drivers. Rolled the drivers back and white boxes show up on my screen and make me jump around near maws/coeurls.

    Example of maw:

Try using driversweeper before you install the newest drivers. This will ensure the old drivers are completely gone before installing the new ones.

Also, try disabling the onboard card, you might be able to do it in BIOS, or in device manager.
