internet explorer

So, wayy back when the IE9 beta was available, i installed it for shits and giggles. Finally a few days ago i got pissed enough at it to figure out how to uninstall it. Problem is, that microsoft is full of goddamn fucking trolls, and decided to forcibly install IE8 when uninstalling ie9, even though i had already uninstalled it in the past. Normally ie8 can be uninstalled via turn windows features on or off. Not this time though. Internet explorer is not checked in turn features on/off, and thus cannot be removed with that. It is also not under the normal uninstall programs (couldn't be that easy...), nor installed updates.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Just tried clicking the checkbox to enable IE8, then clicking it again to remove i. Gave the normal warning when it uninstalls, then did something, then gave me a message saying it may not have been removed. Told me to restart, so i did. Now installed updates shows absolutely nothing, and add/remove features is broke. Ie is still here.

edit: system restore fixed that.

Just let me uninstall as normal after the system restore. I didn't know system restore could ever solve anything. Thanks for the suggestion though. Can lock this i guess.
