I think settlement quests are planned for patch 1.19, no?

Can someone tell me how the three different targeting settings affect people using keyboards? I finally decided to choose the one that suited me best now that they were added to the config menu but I've only been able to find out how they differ on a gamepad. Does it just not matter if you're using a keyboard?
Also, 3600 botany skill with sweat of brow activated on a rank 30 leve, was rank 27 myself. This was one of the "find 3 unknotted log" ones. Not bad!
Well, at the very least I appreciate them for breaking up the barrenness of the world. I must say I do like the small touches they've added, company decorations, etc. It does feel like the world is coming alive in some small degree at least.
I don't suppose anyone has any story-info concerning the companies / Urianger? I hear he's made his cutscene debut?
Edit: someone appears to have uploaded the Limsa missions here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0Ws90msjRU so that answers that I think?
Thanks for the links. When I first went in to Ul'dah's company area, my jaw dropped and I just listened to the music for about 10 minutes. I was glad the other areas were different, but also sad they weren't quite as good, IMO.
If nothing else makes them stand apart, Ul'dah's music is what will decide it for me. (But to be honest, I was already leaning towards that anyway).
My general impression so far is a pretty positive one, I'm left with a lingering thought of "Ok, so when's 1.19?" But I think this is a good reaction, I finally care now.
Did they buff stats? seems like my scourge does alot more dmg now.
Maybe its just the accuracy buff which lets me hit max dmg more often.
I think what bothers me most about the new battle system is to me it appears that when you enter range for a melee attack, it begins the delay and then attacks. For longer delay weapons like the axes it makes you wonder if you're even in range because you're just standing there for a bit. I think it should attack as soon as you are in range first. Or at least this has been my observations so far on my marauder.
rofl Just noticed the active and passive mode skatingThat's turrible~
Takes me back to FFXI when tanks would come sliding in when using Provoke. I used to think it wasn't happening because it didn't happen to me when I did but little did I know, I couldn't see it happening to myself, only others lol.
Impressions? Worth logging in?
Why is Cid such an Aryan this time, wtf.
I wanted an old geezer.
Ah, glorious ballista memories. Rangers sliding into a locked slugwinder animation, some poor taru mage getting popped and sliding into his death animation across a 20 yard distance, dragoons slide-jumping into a penta animation, hahaha. Its not all bad, though: both types look terrible when they're "exposed". Free-form animations look just as bad when the upper body clips into the lower body because of eye-tracking and side-stepping animations colliding with players or objects.
Record it with the new GC music in the background? Should be noted imo.![]()
