Does the screen tearing go away if you do an install on brobox? I tried installing twice but it just hung there and would lock up my system if I tried to back out so I gave up and just started playing.

Not all of it Taco, no. I still see tearing after installing, and also with my box set to 720 to show less of the pains of the MT Framework engine. I guess if tearing is just one of your biggest pet peeves in life you may have a hard time getting past it. I barely notice anymore because the game has just sucked me in.
The install though, it is really strange. Let it sit. Everyone I have talked to about it says the same. I hit install and it just sits there, and you can even hear it reading the disc for a bit. Maybe 1-2 minutes before it even pops up the 0% text. Then it installs. I have read that it is due to a long file name... possibly related to piracy protection. Just give it a couple minutes to get going and it should install just fine.
Yeah, fuck that quest. I spent literally hours and hours trying to complete it. I don't know why the hell they let you take that quest at level 13, you need to be at least 20 to have any chance of completing it in a reasonable amount of time/tries.
On the way to the destination spot you find: packs of bandits which have archers that are stronger (and better at tanking) than your fighters, undead knights who 1 or 2 shot everyone in your group (including the tank wearing a full set of 2/3-starred all out phys def gear), 2 chimeras (which fight like a goddamn rage mode tigrex when it's on its last health bar), 2 cyclops whose eyes can't actually be hit, and groups of semi-invisible lizard men who walk up behind you and 2 shot your main character before you can see them.
I did eventually make it there after like...I don't even know how many retries. Then you get there and the guy gives you like 5k EXP (and by this point the mobs in that area give 500xp each) and 3k gold. The merchant in that place sells gear for like 50~80k a piece. Most retarded quest I've ever done in this game.
Alright, I'll just let that guy follow me around as a 5th party member for awhile then. Last night I cleared the quests that I had in Witchwood, which was a really awesome area. One of the most atmospheric forest areas I've seen in a game. I also cleared the main story stuff through Everfall. So far I'm really enjoying this game. Only real gripe is that Pawns can't use hybrid classes. I wanted to have a Mystic Knight in my party, but I don't really want to play it myself. Magic Archer is too much fun.
@Souj: Were you the one who sent back like 3-4 items with my pawn? If so, thanks.
Tearing isn't a big deal, just thought if I could get rid of it with a simple install I'd do so. Thanks.
NG+ apparently doesn't scale and is incredibly easy, but can be just as hard. If I had to guess, saved for DLC.

My goddamn eyes. Someone needs to convince Qalbert to get the demo just to create one of his masterpieces. I absolutely agree on the awesomeness of Witchwood. Just got done in there myself, though it was a bit easy as I had put it off for a bit. I did see a couple things there that uh... hint that I may be going back at some point =P
I think now I am going to clear the Quarry tunnel. That is some epic shit in there. Not too difficult, but definitely a marathon fight or three.
Since I can't make my pawn a Mystic Knight, I'm thinking about switching her to a healer. It's easy as hell to find tank pawns online. Then it's just a random DD to fill last spot and I'll be golden. I'm level 19 now rocking a level 12 healer pawn because I can't find a better healer.
I have had three items come back to me before. You can only gift one, but pretty sure that some of the stuff that is just in their inventory will come to you also. Only actually had my pawn come back one time with Rift Points. =(
ah, yeah, forgot about the inventory stuff coming back. I never empty my pawns inventory unless they take something I really need. which is never.
I'm hating all the Gran Saron escort quests. I just got another one that's escorting Mercedes to the area that's full of the reptile dudes and a Drake.
I left town and noticed that two other guards were joining me and I saw a caravan under attack by goblins, so I start wrecking the goblins until the Gryphon decides to swoop down and kill all the guards and Mercedes in about 5 seconds and then flies off again behind the castle leaving me with a failed escort quest lol
I just got the notification of you sending back my pawn, Souj. Thanks for the Saurian skin. I'll grab Hodor once I make enough money to afford mage armor for my pawn. I can't stand searching through pawns on the network that are still in starting gear with nothing upgraded, so I refuse to be that guy even when switching classes.
Yeah the escort quests, and really anything before you finish the 4 quests given by the soldier past the monestary in gran soren, are folly/suicide. Next playthrough, I am doing those quests first, then before I talk to the duke, I'll wrap up everything else.
Also concerning cyclops, Use lightning, and if you climb up to their head and let yourself get grabbed, you'll peel the helmet off with you. Lightning is seriously amazing once your pawn realizes how well it works and starts spamming it.
Fuck Devilfire Grove at night. I know that Drake is out there somewhere!
So when do I get those Hybrid classes? I'm at Gran Soran right now so I'm really lost at what to tackle next.
Talk to the innkeeper at Gran Soran. He'll let you buy new classes. The option will say something about vocation.
Haven't been able to play enough I'm falling behind you guys D: Can you only make your main pawn or can you create new ones yourself and switch out who is main?
Mobs don't fuck around at night
I just picked this up. I can see myself loving the shit out of this game. I'm really very happy with the bow skills and stuff. My pawn dude is a tank and I just stay back and shoot things most of the time. Dagger skills are pretty fucking sweet too.
