Stupid work putting me behind on the cool kid discussions. I hit level 20 before I left. Quick question, say you nab a pawn that's 10ish levels higher than you are, does that affect your EXP gain to a big enough degree to deter that or should I just do it anyway?

I am not sure Kadaj, I haven't really noticed much of a drop. I am level 30 and I had a level 36 Fighter and was still getting good XP from Direwolves and Bandits up north.

So, you were kidding about there being some crazy pawns wandering Gransys. I just had a female wearing no zero armor and zero weapons with zero skills run out from behind some castle ruins... thought she was some scripted event as there were some Goblins nearby. Nope, just a crazy level 28 Female Mage with nothing going for her. Oddly, I never noticed that when i cycle through her information it shows me her Creator and his vocation and playtime. Are player pawns roaming the world too? Is my Honor Black out there in your game somewhere?! Or did they just do that... for some reason.

EDIT: Actually shit, I can add her creator to Xbox Friendslist so she IS someones pawn. That is badass and explains some of the more insane looking pawns I have passed on the road. I will say it again, this game is genius.

Yeah actually I've noticed that there are some seemingly player-made pawns running around my world too. That's pretty awesome, this game gets more interesting by the day lol.

By the way I killed some crazy chimera on the way to look for some book at some.. bandit area. And it said I completed a quest by killing it but I don't recall having gotten one.. Fight was crazy though, I'm in love with mage archer.

Some times when you run into a big creature like that, it'll pop up with a quest that just says something like, "Slay all the enemies!" If you kill the Chimera, Golem, etc. then you'll get that quest completed message.

Oh yeah that's what happened. I ran into some cyclops shit then got killed by the bandits on the high ridge during that find the book quest lol...

Make or buy skeleton keys and you'll have them on you so you can just get out and the guard will be like "Meh"

I bought some of those character customization items from the first town with RC and they dont show up in my inventory or storage? Is this a bug or do I use them in some special place?

I have noticed that if you copy the image from FB out of the normal view/album they are 720px wide. If you copy/save as from Theater view in FB they are 1280px.

Arrow in its brain and it doesn't give a shit...

This game makes me make a lot of stupid choices. "I have an escort quest to the beach and a quest at Shadow Fort. I'm not running twice, so I bet I can get those both done in one day." Fast forward about 40 minutes to a scene of me freaking out trying to get around the drake at night.

@Graelinn: How are you liking Ranger? I've got one rank left to cap Magic Archer, and I was thinking of hitting up Ranger next.

That is exactly what I did Viq. First thing I thought was "Shit! No auto tracking targets is hard!". Second thing I thought was "Stop being a little bitch!".

I am liking it. It is taking some getting used to, and I immediately noticed that my same exact party that had just been destroying Snow Harpies and Bandits with, with me as a MA, was now taking nearly twice as long with me as RA. We still got the job done but I just wasn't dishing out that damage. So I am going to keep ranking it up and see how I like it, I think I am Rank 5 or so now.

I am also going to try Ranger, Warrior, Mage, Sorcerer for a bit. I was getting pissed at my Fighter. She would just let my pawn (warrior) do all the work, and hanging out pretty much right next to me not doing shit. So I am going to go with a Sorc and see what happens.

For any of you others out there that play ranged, do you use 1 or 2 melee characters? Do you have trouble with them actually getting in there and tanking? I was thinking of maybe getting some of those pots that change the pawns behavior. I assume you can only use those with your pawn and not rentals right?

Ha! I just finished that place IC. FUUUU near the end I had nearly all four of us in the party overweight with those goddamn slabs.

Damn I fucking love this game, been sat here playing it for the past 12 hours or so lol... Ended up swapping to Magick Archer and taking an escort quest to try it out and after traveling for what seemed like forever I came across my first chimera. Dude I was escorting got one shot halfway through the fight and I just bust up laughing. Was fighting it in the middle of the night with no lanterns or anything. Only source of light was random spells or when I set the thing on fire, it was beautiful. Tried to take screenshots but apparently they all come out looking like ass at night.

Dat horrible contrast.

@Myrrh: Pause it and there's a Photo Sharing button at the bottom. It'll take a picture of whatever is happening when you pause and auto-upload it to facebook/twitter (latter is PS3 only).

That Cyclops should have dropped a round 'key' that opens a door off on the east side near the entrance. Down there is a switch that will drain the water and allow you to explore the rest. I wouldn't imagine it would matter if you were there without the quest active. But if the Cyclops didn't drop the round key thing then maybe you will have to come back after you get the quest in Gran Soren.
