Both end fights are goddam amazing, love this game to pieces.
Getting new armors that arent for sale in shops like skeleton helmet and golden tiger helmet? Im hoping there are like a billion more complete outfits that are just ffxi drop rate so i'll never stop playing.

I cannot overstate how much I am enjoying this game. I wish every game did dark environments as well as this. I've been resting til night time rather than morning just to run around and kill crap at night more often. Need to learn to take more pictures though.

Beat it. I have no clue how you can possibly beat that guy if you aren't a ranged attacker. Shit is fucking insane. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be though. I had a harder time with the normal drake out in that wooded area.

=( Sad. Doing Griffin quest at Bluemoon. Near the end. Raging Griffin. Pretty much have all kinds of loot spread all over my pawns from the castle and the trek there... Griffin tosses one of my pawns off the building. Retry starts me just AFTER that pawn dies. Checkpoint save starts me back at the rest camp under the Manse. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Do over.

Anyway, gonna change my mage to ice/holy affinity, looks like most people are killing drakes at this level. I probably should go do that too

So I just fought the duke and fell into the giant hole in the city and now this chick wants me to collect wakestones. Is that the only way to progress in the story? Cause if so I need 18 more of those fuckers and thats just ridiculous.

The game totally ramps up its difficulty like some kind of super asshole.

Also, where can I change my vocation and stuff now?

so for the first DLC where you haveta find the medallions. Do you do anything with em? Or can I sell em for easy money?

Ah, well I was effed anyway as it was my mage that bit it. Oh but don't worry, ran all the way back redid the Griffin fight skipping loot on the way. Then I went back for the loot afterwards. Then I warped out... before picking up the Portcrystal. I should go to bed.

Anyway does anyone know if there is a point to putting the Portcrystal outside the Bluemoon Tower? Do those chests in there respawn too? Other than the Gryphic Armor one? If so, any idea how long for sure? I have seen the canned "2-3 days" response, because that is what most chests take. But I haven't heard of anyone actually going back and really truly confirming that they do.

I really need to spend my days off playing this. I'm only in the mid 30s and should be much higher. Also, am I the only person who hasn't upgraded gear a lot? Outside of weapons, armor doesn't seem to improve much (so far). I also haven't been enhancing too much unless it's cheap/easy to get mats.

So where do you get crystals from? I've had gear that needs black crystals and ember crystals for upgrades for a while now and still haven't seen any

You can't progress much there until you're on the story mission with the Griffin.

Just beat the online Ur-Dragon. Went in to the battle area, and he was at a sliver of health with all of his spots shining. Guess I was one of the last ones to fight it. Got a lot of cool loot.

Got an entire set of the best non-melee armor in the game. Looks sweat, it glows, and so does the weapon. My pawn is now officially pimped out. If anyone wants to check her out, friend me and use my pawn. PSN: Chaossamurai111

Also got a second Avalon. My first one got dragon forged when I beat it, so I guess I can just sell the second one for monies <.<

I haven't tried it yet, but I looked it up and apparently if you jump down into the big hole there's a whole new area and the bosses in there can drop 1-3 wakestones.

I just hit a Cyclops in the face with an Invasive Arrow and then hit it with Tenfold Flurry. Dropped it on the spot lol.

How does one fight the Ur-Dragon? And how often can it be fought?

You can fight it repeatedly, but only for 8 mins a fight. Then you have to leave the area and reenter. You get access to it after starting NG+, and the rift stone that teleports you there is in Starfall Bay in Casardis. THere's an offline version (easier, worse rewards) and an online version (harder, best rewards). If you kill the online version (person that strikes the killing blow) you get all the best rewards, but if you only contribute and it's killed by someone else, you still get pretty good rewards, which you pick up the next time you enter the area after it's killed.

If you disconnect the internet from your PS3/box you can fight the offline version, which dies quicker, but is still difficult.

AoE and Viq, since you guys had used my pawn the most, I used my Hydra and Revenant books on you! would have used golem and cyclops as well, but apparently all the pawns were maxed on those. So if you only end up getting like 5RC points from me, that's why lol
