Noooo got my hopes up for nothing. Need that Hard Mode NA date, so I know when to rebuy this.

Capcom (English) is stating NA and EU also get the update on the 4th December
Mages get a slow start, but I like being a Sorcerer.

Hard mode and Speedrun is out. Have to DL from the market and seems people are reporting save file problems...so back 'em up.
Is this supposed to imply we'll take the boat in Cassardis to the new content or something? I wonder...

Boat should be in that one place where you have to escort a few of the NPCs just so I can fight the red drake because that's a fun fight, imo.
Anyone try out hard mode? Trying to decide if I want to buy another copy for that, or just wait for Dark Arisen.
Just increased stamina consumption, enemies hit harder (not scaling or anything, it's difficult if you start off fresh); if you're over...100 though, it's pretty much unnoticable to me at 180. Gold drop rates are upped substantially and Exp. gains are doubled.
Probably just wait for Dark Arisen, unless that Abyssinal Outfit and Duke's Outfit set are interesting enough to you.

Mob HP unchanged and no hard mode offline Ur-Dragon? Lame... Increased stamina consumption isn't going to do much to stop a lone Assassin at night.

Aren't all of those screengrabs from existing content? Also, they're either bullshots or impending PC version.
yeah, absolutely none of those pics are new content lol
http://gematsu.com/2013/01/dragons-d...-original-gameDragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Capcom’s upcoming expansion for Dragon’s Dogma, will include the full, original Dragon’s Dogma with it, this week’s Famitsu reveals.
(I wasn’t aware, partly because I haven’t followed it much, but apparently Dark Arisen is getting a full retail release.)
Through save data transfer, players will be able to bring over their costume packs, 10,000 rift crystals, and Stones of Instant Eternity (Infinite Stepping Stones). (If anyone can enlighten me to the official English names for these, that’d be great.)
A new addition to the expansion: when you kill an enemy, its corpse will remain.
Dark Arisen‘s theme song will be performed by RaYchell. The game is due in Japan on April 23.

So wait...do I have to rebuy DD just to play DA, or is DA going to be made available for download?
I made that comment because I recall them originally stating that it would be free to download
Seems it'll be $30 to buy new. It's typical of Capcom to do something like this though.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-on-26th-april
Dragon's Dogma expansion Dark Arisen arrives 26th April in Europe, Capcom has announced.
It's a standalone game that contains loads of new stuff as well as the original, full, Dragon's Dogma game.
Dark Arisen will cost £20, and will be released on and as a download on PS3 and Xbox 360. (On PS3 it will be a simultaneous box and digital release; on Xbox 360 the disc will come first at the Games on Demand version "in the summer".)
The new stuff:
A huge new underground realm populated by more than 25 new enemies
A new tier (level 3) of skills for each class
More than 100 pieces of new equipment
New high level weapons and armour sets
14 new character/Pawn alignments
New tiers of equipment enhancements
More character customisation options
Item appraisal
Optional Japanese voice over
I know what you're thinking: What, I own Dragon's Dogma 1 and I have to pay £20 to get this - the same as a complete newcomer? Well yes you do.
But.
You can carry characters and saved data into Dark Arisen, and as an owner of the original game you'll be given gifts: 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and a Gransys Armour Pack that has six new costumes.
It doesn't sound like the greatest reward for your loyalty, but it's better than a kick in the teeth.
There's a new video for Dark Arisen to set the scene.
A shitty trailer imo but a trailer none the less.
