As far as I'm aware, your pawn is automatically put up. Unless they changed it for Dark Arisen which would explain why no one's been using mine.
You can only make one of your own pawns

Ah I see. So will I get a notification if my guy (girl rather) gets used? Sorry, totally noob at this game :D
84 metascore so far. Have been thinking about trying this out but doesn't the game suffer from low frames?
everytime you sleep, you update your pawn. So if you got your pawn a new sword, but haven't slept since equipping it, other people using your pawn will still be using your older weapon. same goes for the level of your pawn.
Everytime you wake up, you'll get a "server connecting" or some similar thing message. That's when it'll tell you and you'll get your rift points.
Again, that is all info regarding how the base game works. No idea if they changed how it works now, but I don't see why it would
Original DD had (very) slightly more FPS issues on PS3, 360 version had a fair bit more noticeable screen tearing. Tearing is still in this version on 360 but I couldn't tell you if they alleviated any of the FPS drops. If you're a stickler about any sort of screen tearing then PS3 is most likely the better choice, but I never played through the whole game on PS3 to see if it ever got bad in any cases. Also might want to take in to consideration what system your friends are on if any are also playing. There's no real MP but you can hire party members your friends made.
Another question. Can't figure out what shit I can sell off and what I can't @_@
Assuming I should keep things under materials. But what about things like rocks, jugs, skulls, brooms, buckets, or anything else under "Other"? they got any use??
Yeah, just don't sell quest item category stuff and material stuff (though some material stuff you can sell, especially if you have a lot of it.)
Though there are a very few quests that require other things like some specific flowers and notice board quests that want things like 50 War Bugles.
You should be fine on cash with just selling your outdated armor/weapons as long as you do enough quests and dont spend 15k gold on a piece of armor that just has 2 more defense than another piece of armor that you can buy for 3k.
Heres some of the new monsters I ran into so far in the Dark Arisen areas
I'd also consider some of these pics spoilers. Not story line spoilers, but it does give you a clue as to what you'd run into and they've all been pretty surprising. ESPECIALLY the yellow and blue thing. Jesus fuck that scared the hell out of me.
Spoiler: show
Is there any reason I should take a Basic Vocation to max rank or should I switch off to an advanced/hybrid one the moment I can?
Also, I rested at an inn and my main Pawn suddenly knew what to do in a quest. Does that mean she's been used by someone? Because I didn't get any RP lol
Taking base vocations to max can be useful as Augments cross over to all jobs and so do the weapons skills (if the job can use the weapon) But not all jobs have something at rank 9.
and yeah, your pawn will gain knowledge on quests, areas, and enemies when someone uses them.
I've noticed my pawn has the same thing happening but I'm not getting any points either. Maybe its glitched idk.
Alright cool, guess I'll level Strider a bit before jumping to Ranger or Assassin.
Anyone find any pics of the new armor and weapons?
Definitely take strider to rank 9 vocation. Lots of good augments for prettymuch any melee or bow character. Warrior also has some nice augments for melee/bow if you get bored and want to try something else for a while.
the only armors I've gotten from Dark Arisen stuff has been rings. You find "cursed items" get them uncursed and they have differnt random(?) effects.
One ring I got says it improves the two dagger skills I can't remember the name of. The Kiss one and the one that lets you zig zag a bunch of times through different enemies.
one ring had +60HP and something else, another I got has +34stength and something else.
So still not sure how the no rift thing and no feedback is going from my using people's pawns and people using mine, but I assume it has something to do with the icon next to the pawn that's a present with a red X on it, because looking through so far, all I had seen was that icon. But now I've started seeing a different icon which is two arrows pointing the opposite way.
and just a little update on Hodor, I'm pretty sure for his level he's as beast as he can get. I mean, I'm getting 0 feedback, but comparing some of the other warriors, Hodor's got them beat by at least 100 str, at 953.
oh, figured it out;
Gift with red x = it's a pawn who's owner isn't playing with the Dark Arisen game.
The two arrows are those who are, which apparently aren't many. At least on PS3
I think people are just using friends' pawns at this point.
I have a Sorc pawn with 1503MAG at Lv43... she doesn't get used.
So, either my memories are completely wrong, or they changed it;
I just got done doing the Bluemoon Griffon mission and the only Gryphic armor I found was the body piece. I might be misremembering, but I could have sworn I remembered where all the hidden stuff was in there and checked, but the only piece I found was the chest piece.
Don't forget that chest contents aren't 100% in Dragon's Dogma. There's several different items that could be in most chests, depends on your luck.
(The chests do respawn after a couple of days though)
Some are. And I thought the Gryphic stuff was. Don't remember ever not getting them anyways. Perhaps I'm wrong.
Doesn't really matter anyways as I wouldn't use it.
and the shop sells it if I really want it.
Yeah, that stuff isn't 100%.
