yeah. Never saw it before though. Weird.
The Archhydra was also easier than the jobboard hydra lol It never went crazy and kept tail sweeping and charging.
I don't think its any easier, they both have pretty much the same behavior and both are exceedingly easy imo.
Hundred Kisses is not so fun when I'm on the receiving end.
god, this undead dragon boss fight is kicking my ass. It seems simple and easy enough until I get one-shotted
edit: Ah, the good ole addage; complain about it and then you shall succeed.
and sweet, got my Dragon's Rancor and Golden Belt dragon forged
woo and now I have Ranger's new weapons skills too. Upgrades Dire Arrow and Foot Binder
God, I'm really disliking playing Warrior this time around. So god damn slow and the AI sucks with ranged characters. But I need rank9 for stupid str augment!
At least I have Asura Armor. Curious as to how big a boost it is to DP. Guess I could find that out myself.
Though the damage boost from it is something I lack the maths/patience for.
edit: the answer is it increases DP gain by 100%
aaaaand the ring that unlocks Thousand Kisses has completely vanished from my inventory wtf
Any suggestions for what Vocation route I should take in order to maximize stats? I'm currently level 16 and am maxing out Strider first. My current plans for main is Assassin. What vocations should I max out for augments?
Maximize stats? There's a few good ways to do this.
1-200 Fighter (Max Defense)
1-10 Fighter => 10-200 Assassin (Max STR)
1-10 Strider => 10-200 Assassin (High STR, more Stamina)
1-10 Stider => 10-200 Ranger (Max Stamina)
1-10 Strider => 10-200 Sorcerer (High MAG, more Stamina)
1-10 Mage => 10-200 Sorcerer (Max MAG)
Now, that's just if you want to (as you said) "maximize" stats. You don't need to do this by any means.
For augments, you're free to do whatever you want but I just like the damage augs. Stuff like Sinew can also be good.
http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Augments
Notable Augments in my opinion:
Sinew
Exhilaration (If you're really good)
Prescience (If you're not great at perfect blocks)
Vehemence
Damping
Eminence (Really good for Sorc because you can charge/jump/shoot with the core attack)
Leg-Strength
Equanimity (If you're really good)
Perpetuation (Situational, I didn't use it much at all)
Attunement
Inflection (I stopped using it after getting better at the game, but really a godsend when you're new to Sorcerer)
Bastion
Ferocity
Audacity
Impact
Clout
Proficiency
Precision
Awareness
Suasion (Obviously only in town while selling shit)
Gravitas
Acuity
Articulacy
Bloodlust
Autonomy
Preemption (Can be situationally good if you're going to farm boss-level monsters out in the field and know you can get the drop on them with something big, there's rarely ever reason to do this but its nice when you are)
Long list, I know... but that's how many augments are actually useful. Crazy stuff, eh? My best advice is to find what works for you. Experiment.

Each job gains certain stat boosts every level, so look for what you want and go for that.
For my pawn, I wanted a smuch strength as I could, so I kept him as Warrior the majority of the time since it has the highest str gain per level(for a pawn; +5), but now I'm using him as a Fighter
For myself, I maxed out Strider then maxed out archer then maxed out Assassin and stuck to that for a while since assassin has the highest str gain per level of any job you can use (+6). Recently went to warrior and maxed it just for the str+ augment, but switched back to assassin.
Each vocation gains different stats when you level up, I know Ranger gets more stamina than the other vocations when you level up.
I maxed out every vocation near where the drake spawns killing goblins (going south has a lot of them very close to each other) to get augments, took me maybe an hour to two for each vocation as some require more DCP to reach rank 9.
You should be able to kill the Drake at level 30ish, it's a great spot for dragon forging your gear also and you can make a lot of money off of the amber scales, the Drake spawns every 7 game days so you can force spawn it by resting at the camp nearby.
Edit: Anyone play Mystic Knight a lot? Gold dragon forged all my Magick Archer gear just about (missing a great bow but I have a decent one atm). Looking to get into MK and I have no idea which skills are best for it, I have enough DCP to buy everything but I max it out without buying anything at all, just used fighter skills that carried over.
I have decent gear for it already, mostly gold forged, I just have no idea what skills are good for it.
Thanks for the stats and advice. I am probably not gonna be able to max any stat, nor have the dedication to try to do so. But it helps me figure out a relative path of vocations to take.
yay, time for more random pics!

Edelweiss, god damnit, I do not want to go further down this dark ass sewer! mother fuckin reaper wants me bad and he doesnt seem to want to leave this time! Wouldn't be as bad if I could revive my pawns, but Death doesn't let you cheat him personally
aaaand an Elder Ogre spawned on me while I was fighting solo.
Side Note: Death's sleep and instakill also work on enemies
ooooh highway robbery charging 25k RC for the rift stone right after Death
and Ed, you said you had trouble with the Living Armor? I thought it was pretty easy. Though I had a sorcerer and a mage who tore it up pretty good.
soooo fucking lame I was fighting Daimon and he only had 1 bar of health left. He was using his thing where he banishes everyone who he catches in his suction thingy, but I was far enough away and just pelting him with 5fold flurry. Was nearly out of stamina, so I paused and used a food that I thought increased my stamina. I unpause and fire another shot which left me drained and then I slowly got dragged in to his attack and then killed. Turns out I accidentally used an item I had the only increases max stamina instead of the identical looking item that gives me more stamina. tcyu3ibtgc75ocyu34ghui4343k Took me about 40 minutes to get him that far down.
First time I fought Daimon I used like 7 wakestones and gave in as it was just me and a mage, so I wiki'd him and learned just not to damage him too fast, second time around took like 25mins and no wakestones used.
I heard he gets harder the second time you reach him, I'm not really looking forward to that.
Souj where did you fight that Hydra? I'm sure I've been in every room in Bitterblack and I've yet to see one.
I got harem end in original DD too Souj. So not any different.

gah, spent 103k RC uncursing stuff and I didn't even get anything I actually wanted/needed and now I just have 7k left.
RC wouldn't have been a problem when the game first came out, but I have yet to receive a single RC from anyone using my pawn, which means I'll have to rely on the RC I find in chests/off enemies.
^It's the fact that they're essentially invulnerable to frontal attacks: i'm left rolling around trying to keep the nigs backs to my mages to get kills quicker.
Or hoping they cast Maelstrom; then I just hit them a little and up they go... before slamming into the ground at the end and finally dying.
And of course after posting this, I get the 5 Living Armor set in the Lost City - Maelstrom fails to put an end to them every time, leaving me to chip and roll away with Heaven's Keys. lol
So are there any other ways to get Moonbeam gems? I found one on a corpse in the Lost City and another in the Daimon chest
