Holy shit.
Someone said I could try that drake around 40 or so.
Went in with Mystic Knight and Ice enchant, laid a few Ruinous Sigils for it to step on, everytime it went down or was stunned I popped up 3 Great Cannons with ice.
Died within 5min or so.
Also nuked the shit out of a Griffin on the way to the drake. Great Cannon is fucking awesome.
EDIT: also, 2+ cannons + Full Moon Slash = 3 FPS

Is the quest for which I have to sneak into the Duke's castle at night to meet his girlfriend/whatever and then get thrown in the dungeon a story quest? I'm currently doing the Griffin's Bane quest and am wondering if doing this one will change my standing with the duke and advance me to the next "stage"? I don't wanna do it yet if it does @_@ I try to finish all my side quests before I move to the next story stage.

Nah the Griffin quest and the trials and tribulations(sp, cant remember exact name) quests advance the story.
That's a weird quest too. LENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRE

It's a side quest and wont have any effect on the main missions. However I believe that if you finish up the two main quests (Griffon and Trials), you will lose out on your chance to do that side quest which will also exclude you from the next princess quest which also takes place in an area that can only be entered if you are doing that quest.

Alright yeah I just did it. Like I said I've been doing any and all side quests I find before I continue the main quests. I already missed one small escort quest (the one where Quina becomes a nun) because I advanced too fast. Taking it nice and easy.

Ugh, I'm wondering if it is possible to bone Aelinore without her becoming your LI at the end.

I sliced her up (getting sent to the jail afterward) several times to get her affinity way down before finishing off her quests, gave Quina a BUNCH of presents and then Arisen's Bond and then I ended up doing the last Aelinore quest and there she was at the end.

I thought It's whoever has the highest affinity, but if there's more than 1 person with same affinity, it's whoever you raised the highest last.

but maybe she's the exception because she's the only one you sleep with. I don't remember any scene like that except for the one with her, anyways.

It sucks that that stupid Aelinore quest is locked til basically the end of the game and that the LI that I wanted leaves so I couldn't adjust her affinity anymore. I tried smacking the crap out of her before raising Quina's stuff but I guess that quest just maxes Aelinore no matter what (and you can't lower it since she leaves Gransys)... how lame.
The system is retarded.

Merchant girl's got the better body, but she wins in all other categories.

I'd like to put her higher, but she gets points taken away for going to the damned Witchwood when she knows damn well she can't handle herself and then becoming a nun in a church in the middle of some more woods.

The wiki says if you have max affinity with two people your love interest is whoever you spoke to last. So it can be changed at any time, as long as they don't leave Gransys of course.

Look guys I got Fournival my first playthrough so just be grateful yours will be a women. Seriously thank god there's a second ending. I can't even imagine if they game just ended after you killed the Dragon. Congratulations! You defeated the Dragon! You Are Gay! Cue the makeout scene with bald guy! Aaannnddd Scene. It's like FFXII all over again.

I know some people just tend to chuck Aelinore off the bridge into the sea by her room, not sure if it counts for an arrest or not, but it does reset affinity.

imo, Quina's numero uno... only chick in the game who would give up everything to help you. She doesn't care what kinda risk it puts her in, she'll just do it if it is for you.
Also, doesn't sit with well knowing she's gone into a life of chastity to research the dragon when I just kicked its ass.

The only escort quest that has any connection to anything is Madeline's first escort quest (which isn't a boardquest)
If you went to the Witchwood and did her thing there, after a few main missions, she'll just end up at the church.
