You actually don't have to beat the game to access Hard Mode in the PC version, but I wouldn't want to start fresh on Hard Mode anyways.

Yeah i forgot how rediculously easy it is to make money on hard mode, I just killed the goblins outside the city and i already have 17k...

So... the number one pawn on the rift is already level 200 with full BBI gear. Bullshit hacks is what im calling it, The game has been out for all of an hour

Edit : also looks like someone figured out how to port 360/PS3 saves over to PC, so there's that.

Thats kind of interesting, but i would rather run through the game again. Its worth it. Well i got to the true boss of the encampment, and im kind of regretting starting mage, it was terrible

I still havent decided on what to make my pawn, I might make her a berserker but then daimon is going to shit all over her. So who knows, maybe two ranged and two mages for end game. Currently i have her on a strider

Righto, so first things first, a pawn is someone you create/summon from another world and they are pretty much your duo partner, You can also have 2 other pawns you can rent from friends in your party (Up to 4 at a time total, 2 friends, and yours, plus yourself). A lot of pawns are going to speak gibberish and be like IT HATES FIRE or oh i have never seen that rock before (despite entering the area 300 times before) but some will provide useful information like use fire on a griffen to burn off its flying capability. Another trick is that you can customize how your pawn plays (In your game and other people that rent it) through inclinations, So if you constantly go around and scavenge weeds or mushrooms, your pawn will do the same. If you revive people a lot, your pawn will do that. Its a very unique system and i hope you have a lot of fun with it, Its a fantastic game.
Have fun when you encounter your first drake if you love exploring
Also, you can gather knowledge from renting a pawn on a specific enemy, and when it returns to its master, they will gain knowledge of that enemys weakness

Is it just me or did they add new gear? Im seeing some equipment i dont remember.
i hate my new pawns voice =/ lol
Also im getting a weird glitch in the pass between the encampment and gran soren, wolves keep appearing near the tree at the bottom, but then as soon as i fight them they disappear mid spell cast
I think now that im at level 12, Im going to take magic knight till 100 for the decent stat growth all around, and then swap to something else 100+. Plus magic knight is fun all around
Also i liking the free gear they gave us in storage, notably the queens dress and the other stuff

Also, just started messing around in BBI on hard mode... I forgot how good it feels to just lock bosses up with Comestion. Ah, if only I had faster casting... but that'll happen soon enough.

man i have no idea what i am doing. i escorted the snake head to that one place and changed my pawn from a wizard to a sorcerer but then he lost his cure spell and i was like well a nigga need that healing magic and then i talked to this nab npc and he was like escort me so i was like okay and i have a feeling that quest was meant for way later in the game or at least not for a level 12 little bitch because i ran into two cyclopses and that chimera and i couldnt even damage them only my pawns could so i just had to run around resing my pawns while they slowly whittled them down which was awful then i finally got to the place and gained 8 levels doing so and bought a pricey sword but then there is no fast travel or w/e so i had to walk all the way back and fight the chimera and cyclopses again and it was night time and i was like word this game is so tight but i have no idea what i am doing.

There is fast travel, you just need ferrystones. Your storage should also have an eternal ferrystone which you can use infinitely.
Also, you can kill pretty much anything at whatever level (as seen in my screenshot above). Anyone can tell you that Lv20 is very low to have started to go to Bitterblack Isle but I did it anyway 'cause that shit doesn't matter.

For Chimeras, if you're low level you'll wish to fight them "properly" which means you will want to aim at the goat head with your physical stuff and aim magic at the lion head. Its also not a terrible idea to climb on it and chop off the snake tail.
And for Cyclopses just shoot them in the eyes lol, they are so easy.

Or if you're a mage you can just spam Comestion on either one and they'll just die.

Just a note, you have to reach Gran Soren first to get the infinite Ferrystone
