I keep a stone up in the Verda (sp?) Woods by the spring there. Offers a decent enough centralized location for the SW portion of the map.
man i've missed out on a bunch of quests that i guess i took too long to do. Makes me so upset. I almost want to start a new game but if I start a new game does it save over my current one or do they have different character files?
It overwrites it but it has a NG+ so don't worry too much about missing quests and just enjoy the ride.
I was going to try and comb the game world to not miss anything, but then I learned there's a super simple two-step quest ONLY available before you get to the encampment that I missed, so I said fuck it, I'll catch it on NG+.
On BBI 2.0 you can drop one in the courtyard and get one of the cursed guys and you can actually exit and reenter and fight him multiple times before the effect of the meat disappears. So easy to DF anything this way.
These guys also have a super high rate of DFing stuff anyway so chances are you'll get it first try.
You might be able to do it pre-Daimon but I've never tried so idk lol
I've just been fighting the regular Drake in the Rotunda of Dread. Can do it as soon as you enter BBI, same difficulty as the one outside and the fucker can't run away in there. Also super easy to respawn.
Dicking around last night I ended up DFing everything but my helmet. First kill did four pieces of gear, then nothing for three, then the last one got my weapon and boots. I'm not even wearing anything good, but it felt nice to get more familiar with his tells and stuff. Realizing that you don't have to wait for the blink during Arc to get full damage really smoothed it out; There's juuuuust enough time to chain-stagger him and popping a couple mushrooms makes it a super easy kill once you bring him down once.
If I remember right, there's another tiny mini-quest actually inside the encampment afterwards, where she asks you for gold to continue traveling.
Yup, quest doesn't actually complete until you talk to her inside.
I fear I am nearing the end of the game and it makes me so sad
altho i have done no dark arisen stuff. also i am only level 46 so maybe i am not near the end of the game idk.
If you blow thru the main quests it's not that long. I think it did the trial thru entering Everfall in maybe like 2 hours yesterday. Though I was around 108 so I was crushing every fight in seconds.
The story actually accounts for a pretty small portion of the game. For both the main game and BBI you'll likely spend more time in post story content.
im gonna go do shit like kill 10 deer now and all those other terrible looking quests i have avoided. man this game has been so dope. I think my favorite part has just been exploring the map. like the time i found blue moon tower and then couldnt get inside because i had no keys/quests but i still found a ton of chests. and also when i stumbled upon my first golem
