Echoing this. Came into it with no idea what to expect and have been taking it slow as I explore stuff. Just heading off the beaten path and finding stuff is so much fun, even if I can't get into some of it yet. I haven't fought anything bigger than the drake yet, but I know there's more out there and I want to find it, and more importantly, kill it.
This god damned game has me excited that I'm about to have two dozen apples to turn into wine.

u guys what are some games similar to this game. I have already played Dark Souls and Dragon age. Both of which I of course loved. I like the party system and quest based nature of this game a lot. Ok thx for your helpful tips
more:
kingdoms of amular or w/e i played but never fniished, got bored
skyrim i couldnt get into cuz it was kind of trash imo
Nothing is similar, you will sit and wait patiently like the rest of us for some mythical sequel. I find Monster Hunter to be the closest comparison as far as combat goes, but every other aspect of the game is totally different in Monster Hunter.
The Witcher is a little similar I guess?
Oh yea I've witchered as well. Just glorious
also i do not understand core skills i unlocked them all for my dagger assassin and have noticed nothing different.
Most of the core skills are either a delayed light attack following the first one in the chain, or pressing and holding heavy attack.
I wouldn't say most(but there's a fair few)... but that does seem to follow for the weapons that aren't a type of bow or staff.
For Mage, you just hold light attack for focused bolt instead of press and then delay and then there's the movement skills like double jump, dodge roll and levitate and then other misc ones that you don't do anything to activate like quick-loose, true seeker then you've got the perfect block skills: deflect and reflect
If you go to the status screen in the menu there's the tab for Skills, and you can highlight them to see what the associated input is (assuming it's not a passive ability)
Nah, that's one of the skills. Biting/Cutting Wind.
oh i didnt realize that accounted for the secondary attacks LEL
Fucking Krandor and his 3 star ratings. Leave my pawn alone ; ;
Sorry dawg, kept running into Death in bad locations.
Oh and there was an Ogre dropkicking your pawn off a bridge.
