Yeah should show them there if they're registered. Wouldn't surprise me if SE didn't update the code for if you already have some of the services and just want to activate a few of the new ones using an ultimate collection code like you used to do via POL. I used that same entry area to create/register my dbox using the new ultimate collection, but it was a new character so that's probably why I didn't have an issue. Unless anyone knows something about doing this using the new system I'd call the help line or wait and see if they get around to updating everything soon.

Yeah, I'm sure that if I tried to use the code to make a new account I would have no problems activating it, but I'm trying to register it with an existing account. Gonna phone when I can though I'd rather not if I can avoid it cus I'm sure with all that's going on now there'll be killer ques and on hold etc.

-one you enter as POL code/new FFXI account (not as an expasion code), and ALL expansions are already linked to this FFXI account (cannot use this to add expasions to other FFXI account).

Since when could you not do this? Tons of people posted how they did this after the 3 mini expansions rather than buy them seperately and tons of people have posted the same about Abyssea codes. They're all lying?

Well I bought my ultimate collection (the latest, with abyssea) on amazon and it only came with those 2 codes at the download game page, nothing more... and it's clearly stated as POL registration code and Beret code.
It's not like when you get the game in box : you had to enter codes for pol and each expasion.
I guess SE changed that because ppl would get confused with all the codes, idk lol

It should work to add expansions like Leva is trying to do, I think SE just didn't think of that or didn't add it yet to the code registration page. If they were under a deadline to get everything there so they could roll their billing changes by august it might have been glazed over in the short term in exchange for more critical things.

My attempt to register Paypal to charge our Korean credit card has apparently failed. Paypal finally authorized our card, but either SE or Paypal wouldn't allow the transaction to complete. Not sure why, this is all I can see:




It wouldn't allow me to choose "Other Country" for my location, so I chose the US since mine are US POL accounts and my SE account is US. My last hope will be trying to register a Korean bank account via Paypal, but since the credit card didn't work, I'm not holding my breath.

If any of the new MMOs were out this month Square would been so much more careful with this, never seen a company take it's paying userbase for granted the way Square are.

On the positive side, with this new payment system at least I'll save money since I actually have to take the effort to pay each month and when I'm taking breaks I won't be paying them anymore. In the past I just left my sub run un-interupted for 7 years, even when on holiday or playing other games. That sure isn't going to happen anymore.

Everyone has to transfer till the end of August.

Exactly why are people attempting to transfer/pay for crysta when clearly there's massive disdain towards SE's new payment methods?

Because if they don't transfer they'll have to quit; and they think Crysta isn't as bad as Click And Buy, maybe?

If you're unhappy with what SE's doing, the best thing you can do is to simply not switch over and allow your account to be closed (temporarily) on the 31st of August. If enough people do that at the same time it might be enough to prompt SE to offer direct debits to non-JP players, and if they don't you can just begrudgingly accept the new payment method if you still want to play. All you'll lose is a couple of days of play time, which can't be that big a sacrifice at the tail end of summer.

Guy in my LS had the same problem (I think he's middle of nowhere-ish somewhere in Yorkshire, he tried all of his close neighbours addresses and none of them worked either). You just have to contact them directly or wing it with a friend's/relative's/other alternative address.

Aside from the hassles with Clickandbuy though I have to say I love the account transfer thing. My main account is from the days of NA PC release, my alt is EU version Vana'diel collection. Getting rid of transactions on POL means I don't have to worry about having both NA and EU POL installed anymore and both of my characters and their mules are in one place. Plus I was able to link my previously-NA-account-onry security token to my EU account as well as the region of POL tied to the SE ID doesn't seem to matter anymore. Inventory space for alt!

Tried this and my phone was saying it's a wrong number but I know it's not lol. Tried online chat and they're giving me a load of crap saying it doesn't work because it's an NA code, yet the digital download would be NA Playonline if that was true and I can log in fine with EU accounts, and the beret code worked :\

Crysta is my only hope right now, since ClickandBuy does not service the country I am currently living in (South Korea). I had a brief hope that I would be able to continue playing if I could charge Crysta to my Korean credit card by using Paypal, but something isn't working with that process. I have already allowed my mule account to expire, and if new payment options are not added, I will allow my main 2 accounts to expire as well. I suppose I could use a vacation, and if it helps SE see that we need new options added or they'll lose a ton of customers, so much the better.
