He looks my age-ish, and all my friends are married (my college roommate, the last to be married, is getting married this August). My friend told me she and her husband put an offer on a house yesterday (my other friends, 2 married couples, both own homes). I don't know, I look at my life, and as much as I try not to compare myself to others, I feel like I'm way behind and it makes me feel bad. It's not like I'm just dicking around, I got my nursing license, worked and saved while transitioning, had the surgery, and it's like I'm finally at square one socially. I guess it just hurts to see my peers so far ahead all the time (because they don't have to deal with the extra stuff I do.) What I'm trying to say is, what's stopping him from being somewhere I want to be? I'm probably a horrible person for looking at people and wondering "Well what the hell is wrong with you that you're not at xxx milestone?"
LOL niro you're the best
I know not all married people stay married, or that marriage means you don't have problems, but I see it as a measure of success in the love and relationships department, and by extension, happiness. I'm a visiting nurse, and I've noticed over time that the happiest people are those that have/maintain close relationships (usually family), those without close contacts just kind of "exist". It's a harsh reality that you can see in their faces, when they have problems and are alone with no one to turn to (I try to do as much as I can and try to brighten their day, which often leads to extra long visits that set me back, but I can't treat them like appointments, they're people). I worry that, because of what I am, that I'll become one of these people. It bothers me a lot to feel like I'm not where I should be time after time, because, although I'm capable in other parts of my life, love and relationships don't exist. I'm lucky to have family, but my little brother passed away last year, leaving my older brother and I left. We have cousins that live in Florida (I live in MD), but I feel like I'll always have to stay near my family, because I don't have other consistent support systems (I often feel like a burden to non-family members, and I don't ask for help). I'm afraid to (continue to) be alone in the long-term, and I know that this is will happen, more likely than not, because I am a transsexual. Friends have suggested to me to adopt a child when I'm ready, and I won't be alone. Obviously this is a bad idea (and I feel a deep sadness when I think about it seriously), because adopting a child won't magically fix things, even if it's a part of my life that I want to have. I just don't see things working out,
And I'm going to stop typing because I'm making myself upset.
Welcome to a whole world of ugly. lol
Do what makes you happy, spend time with people who make you happy. Also, fuck children adopt a puppy.
damnit rocl
Ruke, why don't you become a model/do porn/be a stripper?
cause he has dignity?
don't be upset that straights don't feel like whipping it out in public as much as homos do
Please, straight guys are as slutty as gay or bi guys, the only difference is that straight guys are tied down by women. Besides, it's not like there aren't gay guys or bi guys who think that "whipping it out in public" is an indecent thing to do. These guys also happen to not be getting any.
sounds like someone's ashamed of his body
