Bf as boyfriend yup. Been dating 4 years in September.
Been seeing that girl for about 4 months now.
I'm poly.
RE: the shirt. It is kinda awful. I hate it but it was during that heat wave few weeks back and its got that long patch round the arms that makes it comfortable.
What the hell is poly, are you a gay mormon
Hipster uniforms in full swing.
P.s.
The video is kinda douchey, and doesnt show the fact that you can walk around and get as close to the actors as you like. But dooo it.

A gay mormon Irishman? Hah! (although in all seriousness I did work with an Irish mormon...there are about 1000 of them in the entire country).
A good insight into poly (in a completely heteronormative fashion) is the show Polyamory: Married and Dating.
Its a showtime series following two sets of lovers. One set drives me insane, they bring out the 'chakra...energy...reiki'/ hippie bullshit you find alot in the poly community (along with tons of horny old people). The triad on the other hand are a fantastic representation of a normal poly relationship in my eyes. The show is very basic, and its very staged but, it acts as good starting point if you were ever interested in knowing about some of the terms (theres also alot of straight and lesbian sex in it for some reason).

Theres also a great documentary by Lisa Ling that was on Oprah's network that follows different families. Good watch. Again, very much suited for the person who knows nothing about polyamory.

If you want a more indepth discussion about the actual 'how to's of polyamory the book 'The Ethical Slut' is an amazing resource. Goes through issues like jealousy, boundaries, legitimacy of poly etc. I consider it a bible (although it can be a bit too...sunshine and lollipops all the time).

The party was in Williamsburg, if you thought I looked hipster you shoulda seen the other people there.Hipster uniforms in full swing.
Not passing judgement at all, just not sure how people can date two people at a time regardless of orientation, lol. Just the thought of having to deal with a second g/f makes my willy wither.
I live in Brooklyn, can confirm, in Williamsburg he wouldn't be the most hipster looking person there. Not even top 20.
what the hell is a fixie
Ethical Slut is a pretty great book. I highly recommend it even if you're not planning to have relationships with more than one person.
do your poly buddies know about each other? TIL: people who sleep around, and have a new label.
They're obviously supposed to, if it's a polyamorous relationship, otherwise you're technically cheating.
polyamorous sounds like a shitty contest of "let's see who wins me!"
Bitch pick one.
Yup. They're good friends. My bf has actually became great friends with her bf (they both love pot).
Don't see anything wrong with the 'people who sleep around' part. The act in of itself isn't immoral. Consenting adults and all that.
This often reminds me that love is often thought of some precious commodity that you need to stake a claim to and then mine dry. Time is the only sparse and limited commodity we have to deal with.polyamorous sounds like a shitty contest of "let's see who wins me!"
Bitch pick one.
Also, your statement reeks of further sub-themes like: the illegitimacy of poly, self esteem issues, commitment.
I could try explaining in flowery language a counter to all of the above and more, but, I would strongly recommend just having one of the documentaries on in the background or something...you'll get alot more when you can actually see it and how /normal/ it is for people.
Also, I could go into the argument of how monogamy is holding up right now [hi2youdivorce]...the history of monogamy within human history/animal behaviour etc but I'm too lazy to look up stats and the likes.
Finally on a personal level, that is more an exception than the rule. I'm bi, and well, being monogamous with one sex makes brings on its own issues. So....

With absolutely no evidence to back this up, and just rambling positing I believe that incidences of non traditional relationships will increase further as society continues. I belief a principle factor for this is the usage of birth control.
100 years ago, if you're wife was sleeping with other men and got pregnant...well, how are you to know who the baby daddy is?
Now, well, women can control when and where and with who. Makes for a lot less anxiety/jealousy.
Also, if I recall correctly, group marraige is being considered legally in the Netherlands and in New Zealand (don't even ask me how you would legislate for that in the current realm of law though, sounds suuuuper messy.)
