New ink to honor my grandparents:
'
Really pleased with how it came out. That's on my leg, since you can't really tell.
why a flowery skull?
Sugar skulls are derived from Day of the Dead, a day of remembrance.
I'm sure they'd be honored.
Erm, I mean horrified. I'm sure they'd be horrified.
yeah, but were they mexican or something? like, did it have any particular meaning to them?
At first, I was going to say, "Damn, they only lived to be teenagers" Then I got it >.>
lol
No, they weren't, but it's something that has meaning to me and matches well with a lot of the other art I already have. My grandparents = chill as fuck, so I think they'd appreciate the sentiment and the tribute. In the end, this is how I want to honor them and it makes me happy. I think that's pretty much all that's required.
ITT Mexico is the only country that celebrates Day of the Dead.
Needs more Chinese characters.
Gheesh guys, I'm sure ye'd love for ye're personal tattoos to be dissected so intensely.
I'm drawn to that scene in Silence of the lambs:
She got a tattoo that has meaning to herself that was also drawn very well and wanted to show it to a community she is a part of. Simples.Clarice Starling: You see a lot, Doctor. But are you strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself? What about it? Why don't you - why don't you look at yourself and write down what you see? Or maybe you're afraid to.
Wow, last time people took jokes this seriously we got a rape jokes thread.
I'm ready for round two!
Lol, I'm not offended. If I had posted a picture of my face I would have got it 10000x worse. In fact the only part of my body I'm allowed to show around here without the expectation of criticism, apparently, is my tits. And well, that's not gonna happen.
Of course not; posting it in this thread would be pretty ratchet; my PM inbox on the other hand...
meh I can criticize tits too. equal opportunity
