Missing something or trying to be cute.

I was born with a penis. Puberty gave me a non-standard set of secondary sex characteristics, including beard (as much as a half-asian can muster.) Hormone replacement therapy to transition socially and legally from male (possibly intersex) to female. Thank you for the compliment.

I didn't want to haul off and go with the reasonable (based on your statements, not pic) that you were "too pretty to be trans" which is probably terribly offensive

you have a very gentle jawline, and everything else looks very natural -- if you said you were born a girl and still are I wouldn't doubt for a second

in any case, I hope everything goes well, you look great even now

These kinds of things are so nice, y'all don't even know.

Friends are obligated not to tell you you look busted. Strangers don't know your business, so their opinions can change. Random strangers who know your business and can still say nice things? They make me believe the world isn't a bad place, and some guy might someday tell me that everything I've ever worried about doesn't bother him.

Things change on hormones! I'm 5'11" and always thought I'd never feel good about myself, but it changed over time. I stopped limiting myself to a standard that was never for me anyway. I'll never be conventionally beautiful by asian standards, I'm too amazon-esque. But over time, I felt beautiful beautiful in my own right. (It took A LOT of compliments over a long period of time, but here I am!)
