Ok. GMG support said they made some "Amendments" to my account, and should work now. I went to the support forums and seems they have had to do this with a LOT of people who use BoA... so glad I am getting rid of BoA this summer by moving my wife over to my USAA account.

I did some crafting about a month or so ago (not sure if its changed by now) it wasn't terrible, but it was a bit.. slowish in a way.

Basically how it sort of worked was...!

You get X item and then Y item, and then Z item, and you combine them. ( I don't recall any speed craft method, so you had to set those items and "craft" every single item individually).

The more of X adds one stat, while more of Y adds another stat. Some meter determined the % of fail (high quality items reduce chance of fail).

Now the hard... part.

To learn new recipes, you have to do "achievements" aka craft X amount of certain items to unlock new recipes. Further down the "achievements" is like a skill for crafting. To make this simple lets say goldsmithing has "ring making" skill. Now you gotta get this skill, to make X item for another achievement, to learn newer things. These achievements down the list required somewhere around 20 to 50.. to 100 crafts. (see above for why this is painful)

Problem with this? Its a tree of achievements, so to get certain things, you have to make a crapload of other things. There is another page of "skills" but I didn't craft enough to look into it, since it was like "holy shit this is crazy" in terms of crafting high lvl stuff. (also i was running out of money).

I actually really enjoyed that type of crafting since it encourages you to make stuff for other people and sell it/give it to friends. It also helps, in a way, to ensure that there's always a supply of lowbie goods for people leveling.

actually, when you reach an achievement, the items disappear from inventory, you don't get to keep it. (may have changed over the months since I played)

Really? Wtf i got the client last night and it said server down. So the beta is up today, sounds good. I really wanna try it out for the pvp, since i enjoy proper pvp.

I'm still getting train wreck vibes here; there's so much fundamentally backwards, design wise, and so much basic crap for them to clean up. Leveling a second character, Exile side, this time, through the other starer area, and I'm finding many of my prior issues even more pronounced. There is far too much RNG in the acquisition of gear, and most of what I find I can't even use, gives me support stats instead, or is some levels lower then my current level. It's quite rare to actually get an item that's my level unless I happen to get really lucky on a drop or challenge. Speaking of Challenges, this area's route seems to have far fewer then the other one, and even the ones I do find there aren't enough mobs around to complete them even if I'm the only one around.

The games been running a lot worse too, though I am using more add-ons, but I have to use the add-ons (updated today, I might add) to make the game somewhat playable. I'm still having to constantly re-load my UI, to clear up frame rate, or other UI issues. On the flip side, Spellslinger is much more enjoyable then Esper has been; who'd have thought a mobile action set would work much better, in an action orientated game, then a stationary nuker...

yeah, I'm playing esper and the stationary aspect of is dumb as fuck. Tried a medic and it was ... fun I guess. but I dono. from the videos all the classes looked fun but now I kinda don't care. I know they were trying to be unique/goofy with their stats but I hate the terms they have for em.

might give warrior or spellslinger a try. I hear the game gets way better at 15 so I'll try getting there and seeing how I feel. Still doubt I'd drop 50$ or however much and then another 15$ a month on this. Just pissing around on it mostly since it's free
